The health and medical center utilizes a steel framing system. The floor system is compromised of a corrugated steel deck with cast in place concrete poured on top. Lateral elements include shear walls with stone facades. These systems are supported by an on site case concrete foundation. This selection was choosen by the geoengineers for its cost efficiency and connection to the steel frames at the base. A slab on grade was also choosen by the Geotechnical engineer. The structural system choose to follow the regulations of the International Building Code (IBC).
