k eeping on track success 4 all
Enabling students to both succeed academically and develop as a whole person during their time at Caludon Castle School. For each year team, the primary goal is to support the smooth journey of students through their school career, ensuring that each individual reaches their potential and secures a bright future. As a school we have created an ethos in which our students are equipped with the tools to question the world around them, and are able to tackle difficult challenges in a positive and diligent way. Above all, we aim to nurture students who can operate independently in the world: who can develop their own ideas, who have initiative and drive, and who have a “can-do mind-set. We want our students to be well rounded and high achieving. Our Key Stage 4 curriculum is broad, balanced and challenging, allowing our students to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding they will need in their future. The options and pathways available will allow each student, with the necessary work ethic, to reach their potential and achieve their goals.
We want all students to realise their full potential academically and socially by • ‘Keeping on track’ within their band • Becoming increasingly more confident • Demonstrating the knowledge, understanding and punctual attendance for the wider world • Graduating with pride

Develop the use of student voice to review and develop our pastoral care
• Use student councils as a way of having an open dialogue between students and staff. • Ensure student councils are valued and seen as a positive and proactive element of school improvement.
Develop the Graduation Scheme ensuring interventions are embedded and clear goals are given
• All students to succeed in their targets to graduate. • Interim graduation awards are in place and students are spoken to about their position in graduating. • What support can we offer for those who are not going to graduate, to give them the chance to graduate?
