The campaign takes part in 3 different stages. First stage promotes the environment through numerous ways to establish touch points that inform the public what the campaign is about and how they can take part.

Final stage is where environments are placed in places of political importance such as the UN or the House of Commons.

Peace One Day is a day, which calls a ceasefire on all violence whether it is domestic or global. Its goal is to promote awareness for this specific day on 21st September. My idea to help increase their awareness is my campaign “Space for Speech” which allows the public to be more involved and interactive with idea of peace. Within our lives, we have our own conflict with others, whether they are minor or major. Space for Speech addresses this and provides a “ceasefire” in a hope to restore any damaged or lost relationships.

Space for Speech provides enviroments and seating for people to discuss and resolve any issues they have with one another in hope for people to make peace with one another. By doing this people will get a sense of local peace which eventually will be able to extend globally with one another.

Second stage is where the environments are revealed to the public, allowing for them to use them and help find their own piece of peace.

The primary stage begins on September 1st, consists of using a variety of touch points found in public places to raise awareness of the campaign and cause.

I decided10that11the12image hand 16could 13 of 14 a 15 be placed on the objects. When the public interact with 17 18the19object, 20 it21would appear as if they were holding hands. This symbolises the hand of someone close that is no longer a part of their lives and encourages them to resolve any bad conflict between them to help them find peace.

The advert itself contains a statement which is incomplete and leaves empty brackets for the public to mentally fill in, this again gets them to consider who they miss and encourages a resolution.

Space for Speech will have its own application for iphone and ipad as well as being part of Peace One Day’s current website.

The Space for Speech section will be part of Peace One Day’s existing site. This section will inform people about the campaign and have two main features; “Re-friend a friend” and “Places with spaces”.

REfriend a friend provides you with an opportuniy to call a truce and rebuild any broken friendships by sending a message and a friend request. Simply enter the message you want to say above and click the generate button and copy the embeded code into your facebook message.

PLACES with spaces are enviroments that are builT specifically to provide a platform for conversation, you can use these areas to arrange a meeting with a person who you have had a dispute with in the past in hope to restore that relationship or to make peace with.

Spaces with places allows for people to enter their postcodes or zip code. This allows them to find their nearest “Space” to arrange meet ups to try to resolve their person conflict.

Re-friend a friend provides a way to encourage reengaging contact with people through the use of social networks by sending a custom message.

The second stage begins on September 15th, consists of creating an environment for people to resolve any disputes between them. On this presentation board, you can see that the environment is set up like a living room; this is to create a comfortable atmosphere and make people feel at home with whom ever they are talking, to despite the topic. The environment will be located in a popular public place such as city centres. This way people can either arrange to meet up through social media or spontaneously when they are outside.

sofas or other seating equipment, to where international meetings take places such as the United Nations. As well as national political venues like the House of Commons. The problem with venues such as these is that the layout of that environment. The House of Commons for example has two different seating areas that are facing each other. Inbetween this areas, there is a large space making them to appear separate sides, like a football stadium.

By placing the Space for Speech sofas in these environments, it offers a different way to interact with other leaders. It creates a different way of thinking and communicating for leaders to view each other not as separate entities but more of a family. Even if they didn’t use them, they would still be their as a reminder of what has been happening in the public during the campaign period and that would have an effect on them and make them think twice about their actions internationally.
