MODELENE - OVEN BAKE CLAY A unique plastic modelling compound that does not air dry and is soft and malleable in texture. “No Mess” - just clean up with paper towel. This material hardens when baked in the middle of the oven at 130C for approximately 10 minutes, after which it can be used for carving. Use it as a modelling medium at infant and primary school level or for jewellery, sculpture and casting in upper school level.

INSTRUCTION: To get an Egyptian skin colour two parts were blended PA10 to one part OP7.The gold Modelene is actually 103 translucent porcelain with gold coloured powder worked into it by hand. The form was created by squashing aluminium foil into the shape and size required, then rolling out thin sheets of Modelene and laying them over it to build up the features. This ensured that the sections of Modelene never got too thick so there was no risk of cracking.
