Cambridge Arts Theatre programmes a diverse range of shows in order to supplement and support all stages of the national curriculum. We offer a variety of activities and materials designed to complement performances and provide classroom resources so that your students’ educational experience doesn’t end with the final curtain.

Thursday 1 December 2022 – Sunday 8 January 2023 We welcome thousands of pupils and teachers every year for our schoolspecific pantomime performances. A magical rags to riches tale full of adventure, Dick Whittington and his Cat is the perfect introduction to live theatre, and performances are filling up fast. Monday 14 – Saturday 19 November An Olivier Award-winning hit, this unique and audacious retelling of Jane Austen’s iconic love story is perfect for English students across key stages. Education pack and worksheets are available upon request. JULIUS CAESAR

Thursday 28 – Sunday 31 July The Globe present a startlingly relevant production of Shakespeare’s tragedy Julius Caesar. A brutal story of ambition and revolution, this new adaptation is ideal for English, Drama and History students studying the epic tale. Suitable for ages 12+

THE CAMBRIDGE GREEK PLAY

Wednesday 19 – Saturday 22 October The triennial Cambridge Greek Play returns to the Arts Theatre with a double bill of Aeschylus’ Persians and Euripides’ Cyclops. Performed in the original Greek with English surtitles, this is a rare and exciting opportunity to experience Greek theatre in the original language. An Education Pack and both pre-show and post-show talks are available. Suitable for ages 12+
