CARO maintains the University’s alumni website which contains information about alumni benefits, events and University news, as well as a full directory of over 400 Alumni Groups. Each month the website is visited by over 22,000 people and provides an excellent opportunity for your Group to advertise itself.
Facebook With almost 1bn users Facebook is the world’s largest social media website. Most individuals use it to connect with friends, family and colleagues, as well as joining groups or more localised networks.
All Alumni Groups are provided with an individual webpage and we strongly encourage your Group to take advantage of this webpage to achieve maximum exposure of Group details, news and events. In addition to this the CARO website contains a list of forthcoming Group events; if you need some inspiration for your next event this page may be helpful. Every month we advertise these Group pages to alumni through the e-bulletin (sent to over 116,000 alumni) and three times a year in CAM (sent to 200,000 alumni). In order to take advantage of these pages please ensure we have details of your latest events and activities for alumni to read. This may be a newsletter, event invitation, report or a collection of photos. You can find the Group pages by visiting alumni.cam.ac.uk/groups and email us with your Group information by contacting networks@alumni.cam.ac.uk

Around 50 Cambridge Alumni Groups use Facebook to connect with alumni. Some of these Groups use Facebook as their sole communication tool; others use it to promote events and to share ideas with their membership. If your group is interested in setting up a Facebook group for your alumni membership and you would like some advice please contact us.
LinkedIn LinkedIn is a social networking website aimed at people in professional organisations. The site allows users to connect to other trusted contacts and helps you to exchange ideas and opportunities with a broader network of professionals. CARO has established a group on LinkedIn for all Cambridge alumni which currently has around 6,000 members. This LinkedIn group also has a sub-group for Alumni Group leaders, allowing you to share experience, ideas and best practice in running your Group. linkd.in/CamAlumGroup
