DIGITAL SKETCHBOOK WORK YEAR 1 STUDENTS Starting a digital portfolio can be daunting, but students always find their own creative way to present their work and progress. They highlight a student’s evolution as an artist, and the formation of an individual style through experimentation.
Showcasing technical ability is important, but students also include works that show their storytelling skills. Many projects showcase the deeper meaning of each art work and you can visually track their journey.
Portfolios are an opportunity to share your individuality and creativity and is often a collection of your most impressive work. It's used to help sell your skills and experience when applying for creative jobs or University.
In Art there are infinite ways to develop and represent ideas and problems and there is no right or wrong way, but student are reminded that it can also be good to show the unsuccessful ideas - it is all part of your personal creative process.
