Camden Summer University

Have fun, learn something new, make new friends and boost your CV by joining Camden’s Summer University. It’s free to enrol if you’re aged 13 to 19 and either live in Camden, go to a local state school or attend a council-run youth centre. The 2023 programme will run from Monday 24 July to Friday 25 August. Courses are available to book at cmdn.co.uk

The canoeing course is a really memorable one for me because I got my canoeing licence and I’m now legally allowed to go canoeing on the Thames if I want to. I haven’t used it yet, but I’m hoping to maybe get out there this summer. I was really bad at canoeing when I started, so I went back each year and have got better and better each time. Up to the point where last year I felt confident enough to take a lead role helping other students get out safely onto the water.
