LASKI Thre is a unique place in Poland. In Polish word ‘Laski’ is the name of the village where there is the Educational Centre for Blinds and, by coincidence, word ‘Laski’ also means ‘the canes’ that blind people use. Blinds struggle limitations in access to information, education, employment and social activities or public places. The Centre in Laski educates blind children from their first months of life until the Baccalaureate and Professional Exams. Essential education enables the blind to live independently amongst their family, work environment, and in a society of sighted people. On the campus there are kindergarten, primary school, high school, college, chapel, cemetery, dormitories for boys and girls.
