The following images were selected from a mono-print book that was created in the purpose of buiding a unique identity to this project. The biggest inspiration was the female body, its form and how it can be transformed in to an object. This was higly influenced by Henrry Moore’s female sculptures, Matisse and he’s ways of making colour through form with his collage techniques and the colourful and fun world of the Pop Art movement.

The next Collection of Illustrations is a further developement of collage techniques and painting. It is exploring how personality can be described through colour and form. Focusing on how females depict themselves through social networking websites such as Facebook and Instagram, the famous portrait selfies. Some pictures were from unknow women and others were from close friends. Each illustration is a personality interpretation based on the photo used as reference. The identity of the people painted will be kept anonymous as some may find the content offensive.

In the next and final illustration collection developed this year, the woman is still the focus of the subject. However, this time the emotion of each character is being strongly depicted. there was a deep colour and mark making exploration in order to capture the strong mood on each one of them. The colours where inspired by the vibrant pallette developed for the textile collection. Other inspirations were religious western paintings and the Falvism Movement. Even though women are seen as beautiful objects created by nature, they are powerful emotional creatures who dominate the earth.
