Creation of a product which combines several machining systems for model maker

WHAT’S A MODEL MAKER?

Someone who realises miniature objects, which look as most as possible alike those which really exist. AGE RANGE : 50-60 years old PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY: Every type of senior worker LIFESTYLE : He likes to spend lot of his spare time to devote himself to his passion CONSUMPTION : Would be able to spend a lot for good tools

PROBLEM

We have observed that with new generations, model making is a leisure which is not practiced a lot anymore.

How to make the creation of models more attractive?

WORK IN AN INTERNATIONAL TEAM FOOD MANAGEMENT DEVICE SMOOD 2013

Plan the meals of your week and be sure that all the ingredients are available in your kitchen or automatically ordered! FOOD INFORMATION: Food information is contained in every food package in a RFID CHIP MANAGE FOOD STORAGE: The DETECTOR detects every food items in the fridge and storage area via RFID with all its

information (expiration date, origin...) and communicate them to the APPLICATION via internet RECIPES: The APPLICATION has access to the DATABASE on the website of all recipes, containing cooking instructions and possibility to choose depending on a special diet (sport, save money, get slim...) ALIMENTATION PLANNING: Recipes chosen can be put in order in a CALENDAR for a meal planning FOOD ORDERING: The food is ordered at particular DISTRIBUTION CHAINS, depending on the food already available in the fridge, the recipes chosen or the food manually selected

RUN IN A COMPETITION

SEB COMPETITION “The Connected Home” The connected alcohol detector “SMART DRINK” 2012

This challenge was proposed by the group SEB and had as objective to create a connected device using new technologies, which can be used by everyone in a family and which fit into one of these three categories: health, cooking or ageing of the population

PRINCIPLE : Inform about alcohol level in real time NEED : For people who desire drink and drive after, but also for people who

want to know their consumption limit or simply for people who are concerned by their health

23 |

Optical lens to measure the flow rate of the fluid Powering-up button with light indicator

System to tighten the plug on the bottle Adjustment of the alcohol proof

During the pourring of the fluid : FLOWMETER collects: 1. the fow rate of the fluid 2. the alcohol proof

3 CHIP

Transmission of this information to the chip on the glass

2 PLUG

4 SMARPHONE APPLICATION The smartphone calculate the alcohol level in functiuon of time of the person drinking this glass

FOLLOW THE IDENTITY OF A BRAND ALARME CLOCK ULAAKUT 2012

Creation of an alarm clock with the style of BLEU NATURE [http://www.bleunature.com/fr/] French brand, pioneer in floated wood, BLEU NATURE takes its inspiration from the slowdesign and eco-design trends. It creates constrasts and freezes the time. Its design is mutant, elegant, organic and industrial, cold and warm, minimal, timeless; it enhances and keeps the singularity of the Nature.

ILAAKUT

Worn plank of wood, white lacquered steel and black metallic spanners. L360 P100 H200

The LEDs have a lifetime of 30 000h. That means for a 4h daily use, a lifetime of 20 years.

| 30

Minimalist, as in its shape than in the number of its functions, it uses the light to enable a naturel waking up, helping for the synchronisation of our biological clock. As it mixes worn planks of wood and metallic gears, it creates contrasts between organic and industry. Finally as a control panel, it enables to control, to play with the time thanks to the spanners. But this control is only an illusion. The time still run, taking with him the shapes and materials of the planks : the aesthetic of the natural erosion forces to wonder each morning‌ CARPE DIEM

RUN A PERSONAL PROJECT COOKER - GRILL 2014

Reflexion about new ways of cooking and living a meal, with a system which allows grilling and heating a lot of different ingredients and can be used in a lot of different situations

PLAY WITH ART WILD CHAIRS 2014

35|

Allegory about humans capturing animals to create their own wellbeing. The first chair, related to a deer, shows the first level, where only necessity for surviving is considered. The second chair, related to the caribou is the second level, where we start to consider a better comfort, warm and cozy. Finally the third chair, from the moose, shows the last level where people not only consider ease, but also wealth and beauty.

| 36

OVERCOME REALITY COFFEE MAKER 2014

38 |

Reflexion about the link between the alimentary canal and the coffee maker. Indeed, both of them have for function to transform some ingredients in entry to a final product at the end. The design here is (very) organic and force to wonder about the link between design and biology (like objects made out of biological tissues) or about the way that nature can be an influence to create new things.
