WELCOME Welcome to our first report of 2017. We take this opportunity to look back at what has certainly been a successful 12 months in our real estate market. As an agency, we have sold a total of 112 properties between the beginning and end of 2016, equating to over 50 million dollars worth of property. The activity of properties being put onto the market was down in 2016 by over 10% in the 5034 district contributing to the growth of house price in the area. With many buyers missing out on the opportunity to purchase we saw a steady stream of buyers contacting our agency to be added to our database. For a typically stable market, 2016 saw volatility with South Australia’s property performance. Medians have recently risen around central areas, experts are confident that this will continue as we move further into 2017. The long term outlook is certainly optimistic! Investors, you should be on the lookout for a new property, particularly in the inner southern areas surrounding the CBD; these hot spots are perfect for potential tenants due to the close proximity to public transport and restaurants, cafes and boutique shopping. We know that entering the New Year always brings exciting opportunities, especially if your resolution for the year is to find a new property! If you are considering making a move, take the chance to prepare your property: have a good clean out, make attention grabbing alterations, and ensure everything is looking exquisite for open inspections and photo opportunities.
