WHEN numbers Count Cremorne apartment and townhouse market had a strong end to 2016, with increased growth from the previous Quarter (3) across all areas. The average medium price for 1 bedroom apartments in Cremorne has tipped over $700,000 and 2 bedroom apartments has now exceeded $1 million. The big increase for this quarter came from 3 bedroom category with some big sales which blew out the average sale price to over $1.8million dollars. When we compare this to last quarter, it was sitting at around $1.6m. This clearly demonstrates the strength of demand the 2016 year finished on. In the fourth quarter (October to December), there were a total of 61 apartments/townhouses sold in Cremorne, with an average selling price of $1,126,000. Which when you compare it to quarter 3 of 2016, which was $1,045,069. This indicates a marked increase of $80,931 or a 8% growth. We are constantly asked how will 2017 fare? We believe, while we remain in a low interest rate environment, coupled with strong buyer demand and limited properties being offered we are expecting 2017 to be a another strong year with consistent growth.
