WHEN numbers Count Mosman apartment and townhouse market had a strong end to 2016, with increased growth from the previous Quarter (3) across all areas. The average medium price for 1 bedroom apartments in Mosman has tipped over $700,000 and 2 bedroom apartments has now exceeded $1.2 million. The big increase for this quarter came from 3 bedroom category, with some big sales which blew out the average sale price to over $2million dollars. When we compare this to last quarter, it was sitting at around $1.7m. There were 7 more properties offerred in Quarter 4 than Quarter 3. In the fourth quarter of 2016 (October to December), there were a total of 106 apartments/townhouses sold in Mosman, with an average selling price of $1,358,707. When you compare it to the third quarter of 2016, which had an average selling price of $1,069,186, this indicates an increase of $289,521 or a 27% growth. We are constantly asked how will 2017 fare? We believe while we remain in a low interest rate environment, coupled with strong buyer demand and limited properties being offered - we are expecting 2017 to be a another strong year with consistent growth.
