by bOb CROSSEN Calhoun News-Herald A grant from the Calhoun Community Foundation (CCF) financed the beginning of a fundraiser which intends to use cash made from decorative deer to support free art classes for children. Lynn Robinson, Calhoun Art Guild (CAG) member, said the concept behind the fundraiser is inspired by Cows on Parade, a tourism art event held in Chicago in 1999 when local artists, architects, photographers, designers and celebrities decorated cow stat-
ues, which were then placed throughout the city. “They decorated cows and put them out through the Chicago area and there was an auction for them to benefit organizations in need,” Robinson said, adding Deer on the Move is sponsored by CAG. The event became a massive success for the city with many people traveling to Chicago to take pictures of the cows and see the artistic representations artists made on the fiberglass hides. Robinson said she wanted to do one for Calhoun County with decorative deer that
people can purchase and paint themselves or have an artist paint. “The main thing we’re doing is we want to collect money for free art classes for kids in January,” Robinson said. “So, part of the money that they pay for this deer is going to collect money to start being able to go into – we’re hoping – an art club after school.” She said the logistics of where the classes would be held and what would be taught have not been ironed out, but noted the money will benefit those who are artistically inclined. by bOb CROSSEN Calhoun News-Herald A man who pleaded guilty to reckless homicide following a fatal crash last October was sentenced concurrently to 18 months of periodic imprisonment and 30 months of probation. The state was seeking three years of Illinois Department of Corrections imprisonment for Randall T. Clendenny of Pleasant Hill who was driving a truck that overturned resulting in the death of April L. McKee of Pleasant Hill. Clendenny also faced a driving under the influence charge for which he received a sentence of 18 months probation and six months of periodic imprisonment to run concurrently. Clendenny must also pay a $5,000 fine in addition to court costs for the reckless homicide sentence, as well as $2,500 and court costs for the driving under the influence sentence. He will be housed at the Pike County jail for periodic imprisonment, mean-
ing he may leave the jail for work purposes only, State’s Attorney Richard J. Ringhausen said. The fatal crash occurred last October north of Boothy’s Palace Tavern on the Mississippi River Road in Calhoun County. McKee, a passenger of the vehicle driven by Clendenny, was found partially in the vehicle and partially out of it when the vehicle came to rest on its passenger side in a corn field south of Mozier Hollow Road. McKee was pronounced dead at the scene when Sheriff Bill Heffington, who is also the coroner, arrived on site at 1:47 a.m. The vehicle rolled approximately two-and-a-half times. Clendenny voluntarily turned himself into the Calhoun County Sheriff’s office Oct. 23 after learning of the reckless homicide charge brought against him. His bond was initially set at $200,000 but was reduced to $100,000 the day he turned himself in. He was released on bond that same day last fall.

by bOb CROSSEN Calhoun News-Herald Discussions about radios and their towers was a topic of focus for the Calhoun County Commissioners during a regular board meeting June 5. Sheriff Bill Heffington explained the connection between the three towers is spotty in some areas, leading to inconveniences in radio usage and difficulty sending or receiving messages. “You’ve got to just keep playing with the channels all the time,” Heffington said. “Every time they switch it around, it’s just a mess.” Gene Breden, commissioner, said the three towers located in Batchtown, Hardin and Kampsville are all synced using a router to the Internet. The sync allows somebody in Batchtown to send messages on the radio frequency in that area to Kampsville where there is a different frequency. “Each one of these sites has a VPN (Virtual Private Network) router on it and they’re synchronized through the Internet,” Breden said. “We rely on Illinois Rural Electric’s Internet. As all Internet hosts are, they are not always up. There are times they go down, and when they go down, you can’t talk from Brussels to Hardin.” The Internet service is provided by Illinois Rural Telecommunications Company (IRTC), which also owns the tower on which the Batchtown radio repeater is attached, he said. The Internet is received at the tower through a satellite and back up power is serviced through IRTC to the repeater. Commissioner Phil Robeen recommended the board look into a company that could send a wired connection
to the tower for a more consistent signal. Satellite Internet, he said, can be obstructed by changes in the weather – rain, overcast skies, etc. – much like satellite TV. “A wireless to a little satellite dish is a lot more susceptible to errors and dropping as you’re going through the day than a wired DSL connection,” Robeen said.
“You’ve got to just keep playing with the channels all the time. Every time they switch it around, it’s just a mess.”
Bill Heffington Sheriff Breden said fixing the issue is as simple as reseting the router syncing the towers through the Internet, but to do so requires calling an outside source to reset the router remotely through an Internet application. He said the individual is available at any hour to fix connectivity issues, but Doug Wilschetz, chairman, asked why the sheriff’s department doesn’t have the capability to fix it within the department. The chairman requested the service provider attend the next meeting to discuss the county’s options. Breden said Pike County has its radios set up in a local area network (LAN), meaning it does not rely on an Internet provider. To permanently
fix the issue and mimic the system in Pike, he said the county would have to spend a considerable amount of money to purchase new equipment. “They spend a little over $100,000 to get that,” Breden said. “We spend $40,000.” He said the issues being faced by the sheriff’s department and other emergency services on the radio are due in most part to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) narrowing the bands for radio signals in 2013. “It makes it harder to communicate because it doesn’t have near as much reach,” Breden said. “Without the system we have now, we wouldn’t have any communication between the towers at all.” The commissioners requested the service provider attend the next meeting. The board also approved to send a letter to the North Calhoun Fire District requesting use of the radio tower in emergency situations. In the event of a disaster or emergency, the Emergency Services Disaster Agency in Calhoun County needs to use a ham radio to make contact with other parts of the county. Breden said the sheriff’s department and other emergency services use North Calhoun Fire District’s radio frequency when in the northern part of the county, and the fire district requested the commissioners send a letter asking to use the tower for a ham radio in emergency situations. “If you have an emergency or a major disaster … and you lose your telephone and StarComm goes down – StarComm is the standard radio system for the state of Illinois – there is (See, commissioners, A2)

More than 15 local artists will attend the festival to show off their work – some of whom will be selling pieces – and interact with the community that attends the event June 14, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Lynn Robinson, CAG member, said the festival will feature a kids’ tent where parents can leave their children supervised with volunteers who will have activities to keep them
busy. “For $2, you can leave your child there,” Robinson said. “There’s going to be some fun activities to do, some art activities and things like that.” She said Stone Bridge Valley summer camp students will have their work on display at the festival, as well. “They get such a kick out of it too, seeing their artwork up on the walls at the gallery,” Robinson said. Parents and other attendees will be treated to hot dogs, bratwurst and other food items in addition to beer and wine while they peruse the 17 (See, art guild, A2)
County purchases new computer hardware by bOb CROSSEN Calhoun News-Herald The Calhoun County Commissioners approved a new contract with Thomson Reuters, a computer service provider, to update county office computer equipment this fall. The county offices have not had new equipment in at least eight years, LIsa Roth, county treasurer, said during a regular meeting of the commissioners June 5. The computers used by county employees at present do not have compact disc drives, but rather have floppy disk drives. According to the proposal sent to the county, the new computers are valued at $2,100 each. The commissioners approved the purchase of six computers, which will come with a three-year warranty and Microsoft Office 2013 in addition to its
Manatron tax software. Supervisor of Assessments Pat Langland said the hardware upgrades will be a welcome change in her office. “If the lights flash, I’m 45 minutes without a computer,” Langland said of restarting the machine after a power outage. She also said her keyboard is not working properly. County Clerk Rita Hagen said the contract for the tax software is four years long and is bundled with the purchase of the new equipment. The total cost for the new equipment is $22,500 – which includes the six computers, a server, and installation of the equipment – while the software will cost $14,300 each year for the length of the contract. She said with the three-year warranty, the county will save some money on continued maintenance costs that it pays for the machines it operates now. That expense is
approximately $5,700 per year, meaning the county will save around $17,000 in maintenance costs over the course of three years. Roth said the county has used Thomson Reuters as its provider for tax software because the service is better than other companies. Commissioner Gene Breden said the county may have to start considering the hire of an information technology (IT) officer to service the computers, rather than pay an outside company. Hagen said having a person on-site to call when there are computer troubles would be a big help. “We don’t have anybody to even call during the day. If you have a problem, there is no one in town that you can call that can come right now,” Hagen said. “There is just no one local that can come immediately.” The commissioners took no action regarding the hire of an IT officer. Helen Campbell turns 100 Thursday, June 12 By BOB CROSSEN
Calhoun News-Herald The former village clerk and water bill collector of Kampsville, Helen Campbell, celebrates her 100th birthday June 12. Linda Retzer, Campbell’s daughter, said her mother instilled values of community and respect in her. As the water bill collector, Retzter said Campbell was compassionate and paid the bills for those who fell on hard times. “I like the fact that my mother is a Christian woman and that she had the heart to do for others like she did and pay a water bill for somebody that didn’t have the money to pay it,” Retzer said. “That impressed me as a child growing up.” She said Campbell, daughter of Lillian Ansell and Henry Albert Becker, often talks about her time working on the family orchard. Growing up, Campbell had a small cast iron wood cook stove. Retzer said Campbell’s grandmother would make cake batter and give some to Campbell to cook in her small stove, not unlike children now make treats with an EZ-Bake oven.
Retzer said the compassion of her mother extended into offering food to those visiting Kampsville – be it family or a guest from the parish. Campbell’s daughter said she remembers good meals with fine people her mother welcomed into the home. “[My parents’] home was always open to people. They were very church-going people and anybody who was a guest of the church or if they had guest preachers, our home was always open to them,” Retzer said. “That’s my favorite memories of her. Opening her home up to people that needed a place to go.” Campbell was also instrumental in gathering signatures from Kampsville residents in the 1970s to get a new water and sewer system in the riverside community. Retzer said her mother also worked with the Presbyterian Women’s Sunshine Circle and Missionary Society, of which she was an active member and at one time the president, to sponsor a child in Africa as well as with rummage sales and bake sales. Campbell is a lifelong member of the Kampsville Presbyterian Church, the lumber for which was taken from the Becker farms.

Some artists will be selling their artistic pieces, Robinson said, adding food and beverages will also be an expense for those attending. Some pieces of art will also be raffled off during the Art Under the Trees event where those attending may sign up for a ticket at the Calhoun Art Guild booth. “It’s really exciting to have this go on because this is going to be an annual event,” Robinson said. “We would like to do it year after year and grow and grow with it.” Stone Bridge Valley is located one drive north of Crater Landing Road on Illinois Route 100. Relay for Life reaching toward $1 million By BoB crossen Calhoun News-Herald Relay for Life of Jersey County is closing in on $1 million raised for the American Cancer Society since 2000 in Jersey County. According to the Relay for Life website for Jersey County, more than $16,000 was raised during the relay June 6 at Jersey Community High School. “I think we’re going to hit $1 million this year,” Frank said. Local volunteers and entrepreneurs have joined forces to offer healthy, locally grown and organic foods in a USDA designated “food desert” in Alton. The US Department of Agriculture defines a food desert as “a census tract with a substantial share of residents who live in low-income areas that have low levels of access to a grocery store or a healthy, affordable food retail outlet.” Grassroots Grocery will be operated as a cooperative, and will source its products from inside a 50-mile radius whenever possible. Those involved hope that this strategy will strengthen the network of local farmers, engage a diverse community in improving health and self-sufficiency, and contribute to a sustainable local economy. The store, located at 415 Ridge Street in Alton, is set to open this summer with the exact date to be determined by public response to the membership campaign. Founders aim to open the doors 30 days after successfully raising $50,000 to cover startup costs and inventory. Visit www. GrassrootsGrocery.org to review the different levels of donations, each with different perks depending on the contribution amount. A basic membership to the grocery costs $100 per household, which entitles the family to a 10 percent discount at the store. If a family spends $100 of their existing monthly food budget at Grassroots Grocery then the membership will more than pay for itself over the course of a year. A compelling short video can be found on the website, in which those involved explain the need for such an endeavor and the benefits it will have in our community. “Grassroots Grocery will give folks the opportunity to buy fresh, healthy food from people who are their neighbors. Instead of sending local money to giant multi-national corporations in far away places, we have the opportunity to provide people with affordable nourishment, while keeping that money circulating in the local econ-
omy where it can do the most good,” said Christine Favilla, co-founder of the grocery, and vice president of the Community Cultivators. “The donations will be tax-deductible because of our non-profit status.” The store aims to serve neighbors who live in the food desert and therefore need access to fresh healthy food, as well as residents in surrounding areas who will now be able to save the 70-mile round trip to West County in order to shop at chain stores. Some of the farmers and producers that will have their goods at the store include: Liveprings Farms, Three Rivers Community Farm, La Vista CSA Farm, and Riverbend Roots Farm, among many others. “Neighbors will save money and have access to healthy food choices that are currently not available in the neighborhood,” said Dr. Jackie Burns of Principia College. “We are pursuing $100 cooperative memberships in order to drive the unit price of the product down so that people in the neighborhood can afford to shop there. Growing the economy and bringing people to the neighborhood will foster additional economic growth and job creation.” “Suppliers of Grassroots Grocery products will include many area farmers that attend the Alton Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market,” said Sara McGibany, Executive Director of Alton Main Street, who coordinates the Market. “We’ll also have natural household products, such as all-natural shampoo and recycled-content paper products, and free range eggs, hormone-free meats, and artisan cheeses.” Grassroots Grocery is a project of the Community Cultivators, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization started in 2002 that is known for their “Jaime Hines Discovery Garden,” one-acre organic teaching garden at La Vista park in Godfrey. Favilla, McGibany, and Dr. Burns are co-founders who have been working with dozens of dedicated volunteers on six subcom-
mittees in order to bring the project to life. “Public response has been overwhelmingly positive,” said McGibany, “the Grocery’s Facebook page reached 1,200 likes overnight and a significant amount of donations have been pledged, so we see that as a positive indicator that the Alton community is ready to support this type of social enterprise.” In addition to offering non-toxic products and sustainably grown food, the endeavor will also include a strong outreach component to educate the local populace about the importance of fresh foods and how to work with and prepare them. Workshops are being planned on the following subjects:

Enrollment is open for both upcoming sessions of this class, which will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday from June 23 to Aug. 1, and from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday from June 24 to July 31. Increase mobility, flexibility with ccL swim class Lewis and Clark Community College’s Corporate and Community Learning division is offering two upcoming sessions of its Arthritis Exercise swim class this summer. “Exercising in the water has been shown to improve flexibility and mobility, so it’s ideal for older adults who struggle with arthritis or other ailments,” said Swim Program Coordinator Kathy Conlee. “The gentle movements of this form of exercise are great for rehabilitation, as well.” The class is tailored for both swimmers and non-swimmers and will be held in the shallow end of the Hatheway Pool on L&C’s Godfrey campus. Mary Woodcock, of Godfrey, has been participating in the Arthritis Exercise swim class for more than five years now, and has grown close to her instructor, Claire McBride, and her fellow classmates. “The class is very helpful,” Woodcock said. “It really helped me with my arthritis pain. Nothing hurts in the water. It’s fun, and I also made a lot of great friends. I call them my ‘exercise family.’ Claire and I have also become good friends. I encourage anyone considering it to join. It is an accepting atmosphere, and I have

YIPEE - we are great grandparents again. Chad and Mary (our grandaughter) became parents to a beautiful baby girl just a couple hours before Mary’s birthday. Her name is Lydia Mae and she weighed in at 8 lbs 1oz, 20 inches long, dark hair and blue eyes. She looks just like her Daddy. She is great grandchild number four. Two boys, Xander and Sawyer, and two girls, Charlotte and Lydia. Happy birthday on the 9th to our grandson, Ross, in NC. Redeye and Bev traveled to NC on the 1st, and returned home on the 7th. They had a great time visiting with Rusty, Sonya and the boys, and Jen, Jeff and Xander. They attended Xander’s graduation from grade shool. He will be in Jr. High this fall. I will soon be the shortest member of our family (excluding the four little ones, of course). Xander is just a couple inches shorter. He is having a great time helping Papa T feed the calves, and painting classes at Stone Bridge Valley taught by
Lynn Robinson and Linda Basden. He has agreed to sweep for me. He says he is here to take care of Grandma Great. While Redeye was gone, Devin and I enjoyed eating lunch together, my payment to him for helping me get my office back in shape. Redeye is a wonderful Mayor, but not a really neat one. I hadn’t felt like doing much to the office either, so needless to say, it was not a pretty sight. I took down Xmas decoration and put up red, white and blue, Devin moved heavy boxes out of the office into our former lunchroom. While I was cleaning the Office, Devin was moving heavy boxes, tables, etc, sweeping and all around general cleaning in the lunchroom. Redeye had decided he would like to have coffee at the office, so, I had his “coffee” room up and going for him. He and Devin had their first coffee Monday morning. I have been, and am still feeling pretty well. Thanks, again, for all the prayers and concern
about me. It is great to know so many people really care, and are pulling for me. I do believe we are going to win this one. Even tho my insurance will not pay for my pills, I know my wonderful Dr. Tan will pull something out of his hat to help me. Also, we all know I am too mean to die. American Legion Post 1083 and Calhoun County Entertainment Company have come to a meeting of great minds, and CEC will, as long as it is feasible, have their annual musical in the Kampsville Old Gym. This is not only, great for those who enjoy the muscials, but for the Village. The cast always eats after some practices, and the musicals at our local restaurants, which brings in sales tax to the Village. It is, also, great for the kids in the community who enjoy participating. This includes kids of ALL ages. We had to miss this year because I was sick, but hope to be able to attend next year. And how was your week???? See you next week.

Give strength that bring a victory To triumph over trials, To turn each sadness into joy And face life with a smile. I’ll hide Thy word within my heart As I plant it fresh each day, And water it with praise Each time I thank and pray. That inner strength will take me through No matter what’s to be. If You are walking by my side I’ll walk in victory.

This Saturday night June 14, we will be having “The Greenes” in concert at 7 p.m. The doors will be open at 6 p.m. and you will want to come early to get the best seats. On June 29, we will be having Evangelist David Ring at 6 p.m. Our doors will be opened at 5 p.m. We are expecting a great crowd for both events. Feel free to contact me with any questions or more information. Planning continues for our Vacation Bible School, which will be July 14-18. More information will be revealed over the next several weeks. You are invited to join us for one of our great opportunities available to you. Our theme at Belleview throughout the summer is “Possibilities in Impossibilities.” Have you ever thought about the possibilities of blessings during times of burdens? In her book, THE HIDING PLACE, Corrie Ten Boom relates an incident that taught her to be thankful for things we normally would not be thankful for. She and her sister, Betsy, prisoners of the Nazis, had just been transferred to the worst prison camp they had seen yet, Ravensbruck. Upon

entering the barracks, they found them extremely overcrowded and infested with fleas. Their Scripture reading from their smuggled Bible that morning in 1 Thessalonians had reminded them to rejoice always, pray constantly, and give thanks in all circumstances. Betsy told Corrie to stop and thank the Lord for every detail of their new living quarters. Corrie at first flatly refused to give thanks for the fleas, but Betsy persisted. Corrie finally agreed to somehow thank God for even the fleas. During the months spent at that camp, they were surprised to find how openly they could hold Bible study and prayer meetings in their barrack without guard interference. Several months later they learned that the guards would not enter the barracks because of the fleas. Hard to imagine isn’t it? We often spend more time bemoaning our present state of affairs that it blinds us to the idea that in the midst of our burdens, there are some blessings. I am reminded of a friend who was in a serious vehicular accident when the driver of another vehicle ran a red light and t-boned into my dear friend’s car. Surgery was necessary and in the process of the surgery they discovered that he was in the early stages of lym-
A5
phoma. Hearing his testimony, I am amazed that he was thankful for the car wreck because it required him to go the doctor where they were able to begin immediate treatment. Four years later, he continues to enjoy living life as he always had, this time as a conqueror over lymphoma. Blessings in burdens are not always easy to find, but with the proper perspective, we may discover them. Maybe, it is in the midst of our burdens we truly discover who our friends are. Could it be in the midst of our burdens that we discover more about ourselves that surprises us or strengthens us? We do not have to allow our burdens to define us, we can simply define our burdens and there we may find our blessings. If you are going through a time of burdens, feel free to give me a call or by email at pastor.chris@hotmail.com, I will gladly pray with you, listen to you, and show you that I care. With a little more concerted effort, we can all be a blessing in someone else’s burdens. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)

Gratitude, Contentment and Anxiety
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
A simple prayer of thanks is a great way to start and end every day. We have so much to be thankful for, and reminding ourselves of that fact will improve the quality of our lives. But, how do we know if we are truly and genuinely showing gratitude to God? With our family and friends it is easy enough to know if we are genuinely grateful. In that case, we will feel and express appreciation and be happy with our gift. We might extend this same analysis to God: are we genuinely appreciative of God's gifts to us (our lives, our talents, our work, and our family and friends) and are we genuinely content with how things are working out in our lives? A true sense of gratitude to God should lead to a profound sense of contentment with our lives. This doesn't mean that we won't strive to make things better; there are many things that could stand to be improved. But, it does mean that as we go about our lives we manifest a satisfaction and contentment with things, and especially the little things we cannot change. Gratitude naturally brings with it a deep contentment which will banish fear and anxiety from our lives. So, we should keep in mind all that we have to be thankful for. - Christopher Simon

Governor Quinn proclaims June ‘Leave No Child Inside’ month in Illinois Governor Pat Quinn proclaimed June as “Leave No Child Inside” month in Illinois, and encouraged families to spend time outdoors enjoying recreation opportunities, activities and events throughout the state. “Following the harsh winter, our beautiful state parks and natural areas are great places for children to reenergize, get outdoors and get active,” Governor Quinn said. “We want to ‘Leave No Child Inside’ because children who spend time outdoors can have fun, get needed exercise and learn about the importance of protecting the natural wonders here in Illinois.” As part of “Leave No Child Inside” month, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) and partner organizations throughout Illinois will host a variety of activities and events in June and throughout the summer to encourage children and families to spend time outdoors. “Events such as Illinois Free Fishing Days, and simple family activities like a hike on a nature trail in a state or local park, are great alternatives to being glued to a video game controller or bored by TV shows all summer,” IDNR Director Marc Miller said. The “Leave No Child Inside” initiative was launched in 2007 to get more children outside and to increase the amount and quality of time they spend outdoors. The initiative is intended to promote outdoor activities as fun and healthy ways for families to spend time together, while helping improve health and fitness and curb child obesity. Families are encouraged to check with local and regional parks, recreation agencies and youth organizations for information on local outdoor activities during the summer months. The decision to downsize a home is often bittersweet. Many couples who downsize their homes do so after raising a family. A home might be filled with memories, but downsizing a home helps couples save more money, and that financial flexibility often allows men and women to more fully enjoy their retirement. But in spite of the financial impact of downsizing a home, there's more than just money at stake for homeowners thinking of downsizing their homes. The following are a handful of factors homeowners should consider before downsizing to a smaller home. n Furniture When downsizing to a smaller home, many couples realize their current furniture is unlikely to fit into a smaller home. That means couples will have to sell or donate their current furniture and then buy all new items for their new home. If it's been a while since you purchased new furniture, you might be in for some sticker shock on your first visit to the furniture store. Another thing to consider regarding your furniture is which items you simply can't live without. An antique dinner table might have been the centerpiece for your family holidays over the last several decades, but there's no guarantee it will fit into your smaller home. You may want to pass this down to your son or daughter, but that's only possible if he or she has the room for it. Before deciding to downsize, consider your attachment to certain items that you may or may not be able to take with you to your new home and the emotional toll that selling such items might take if you're left with no other options.
n Proximity to family When downsizing to a smaller home, many couples move out of the suburbs and into cities or towns with more ready access to culture and restaurants. While that accessibility is great, grandparents may find that it comes at the cost of less time with their grandchildren. That's a steep price to pay for doting grandparents, and it may also impact your children if they frequently rely on grandma and grandpa for babysitting. Before downsizing, consider if you're willing to move further away from your family. If not, you likely can still find a smaller home in close proximity to your current home and any nearby family members. n Medical care Many older men and women must also consider the effect that moving may have on their medical care. Downsizing to a home in the country may make it harder to maintain contact with your current physician, and rural areas typically have less medical practitioners than more densely populated towns and cities. In addition, if you have been visiting the same physician for years, you may not want to move and have to start all over again with a physician who is unfamiliar with your medical history. Consider how much maintaining your existing relationship with your physician means to you, and if your next home will provide the kind of access to medical care you're likely to need. Downsizing a home is not just about moving into a smaller property. To ensure you're making the right decision, many factors must be considered before downsizing.
