Thank you for tabling at Orientation and Accepted Students’ Day! Thank you for helping promote Campbell Giving Day and TAG Day! Because of your enthusiasm and participation, new students felt welcomed, our fundraising efforts were more successful, and our donors know they are appreciated!

CLASS OF 2021 CONGRATULATIONS

“Congratulations Class of 2021! As you have heard me say, I have the best job at CUSOM because I don’t have to say goodbye at graduation, I get to say “See you soon! Be sure to open my emails, so I can take you to dinner!” We finally have permission to get back out on the road, so watch your email later this summer for alumni event invitations!

I wish each of you the very best and look forward to following your careers. Campbell Alumni have established an incredible legacy of leadership in the profession, service in their communities, and continued engagement with CUSOM. We know you will continue this legacy and grow it in new, amazing ways.

To the Student Alumni Association members, thank you for keeping the momentum going with this new organization! Your engagement and support had an immeasurable impact on events like TAG Day and even non-SAA events like DO Day – you always represent Campbell and the medical profession well. Cheers!

- Sarah Bowman, JD Executive Director of External Affairs and Alumni Engagement

ALUMNI WORDS OF WISDOM

"If your program does not provide you with good coffee, make sure to get a Costco membership and stock up on the good stuff. There will be days that are absolutely brutal, but that’s ok! Just look out for each other and never forget why you are putting yourself through this - for the patient. And when you have those inevitable lighter days, make sure to enjoy them by doing things that you like."

Congrats Class of 2021! - Dr. Paul Pikman ‘18

"Congratulations on your fantastic accomplishment! You have already overcome unforeseen obstacles to get to this point. I wish I could tell you that it gets easier from here on out. Unfortunately, it doesn’t. But if you use the tools, knowledge, and skills you have developed in school, you will continue progressing through your career. Have confidence that because you got this far, you will turn future challenges into great achievements. Keep pushing yourselves to become not only better physicians, but better people, friends, sons/daughters/ brothers/sisters/parents. Try to enjoy this privilege you have earned. And during tougher times, remember the joy and relief you felt when you were first accepted to medical school."

– Dr. Tom Soker ‘17

FACULTY & STAFF WELL WISHES

To the Class of 2021:

I wanted to give a hearty “Congratulations for a job well-done” to each and every one of you as you become doctors of osteopathic medicine! As have said to many of you before, going to medical school is tough enough, but doing so through this unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic is truly extraordinary. You tackled a changed world of online learning, face masks, hand sanitizer, social distancing and virtual interviews to reach your goals and for that you should be very proud.

You have been an amazing group of talented, dedicated students to work with. I wish you continued success as you enter your residencies and start your careers as practicing physicians. I know that wherever you go, you will bring great pride to CUSOM through your hard work, professionalism and humanity. Please also take of yourselves and keep in touch with your CUSOM family. -- All my best, Dr. Cappola “

Congratulations, Class of 2021!!! We are so incredibly proud of you and excited for your future. As you start your residency, remember this is your time to LEARN and GROW. Ask questions! Smart people ask questions and then...get smarter! Be confident in who you are. You are well-trained. You are accomplished. You are a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. You are a Campbell graduate. You are ready. And, YOU’VE TOTALLY GOT THIS!” -- Forever Your Cheerleader, Dr. Hinkelman

Congratulations to the Class of 2021! May God abundantly bless you as you continue serving others by using the skills you have learned. Please know that I am still available if you have any point-of-care ultrasound questions. Happy Scanning! -- Dr. Cathy Daniels, Director of Ultrasound Training

“I know you have all heard it a million times...but you truly have trained in a very unparalleled and challenging time in history. You should be very proud of the success and resilience you have shown in the face of adversity and the global pandemic! I, for one, am very proud of you, the Class of 2021, and am so excited for what the future holds for each and every one of you. Please stay safe and be well!” -- Dr. David Tolentino
