WHAT IS
CAMP STANISLAUS? Camp Stanislaus is a day and resident summer camp for boys ages 8-15. Founded in 1928, Camp Stanislaus operates in conjunction with the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, a religious order of teaching Brothers who have operated Saint Stanislaus College since 1854. The mission of the camp is to provide campers and counselors with a safe and enjoyable recreational and learning experience in the Catholic tradition under the charism of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. Given its beautiful location on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Camp Stanislaus is able to provide many water activities including swimming, sailing, skiiing, knee boarding, tubing, wakeboarding, canoeing, and fishing. Other camp activities include indoor and outdoor sports, arts and crafts, archery, rec hall, and much more! While our main goal is to provide a good time, we also aim to allow our campers to create new friendships, learn independence. improve social skills, encourage one another, and work hard to achieve their goals. Camp Stanislaus has become a tradition passed down from generation to generation and continues to welcome new faces each year!

Olympics, a camp-wide activity in which campers competed in a series of fun events. We were also able to add a new jet boat to our fleet through the generous donation of a camp benefactor. As always, we are looking forward to adding more activities this summer. I have to thank the campers for their positive attitudes and for always trying their best in all activities. We witnessed a lot of growth and shared many laughs and memorable moments throughout the summer. I know many of you come to camp not knowing a soul but left with friends for life. All in all, everything was a big success and we hope to be able to continue like this in the future.

DIRECTOR I would like to start by extending my sincere thanks to all the campers, parents, staff, Brothers, and volunteers for making this summer a fun, rewarding, and memorable experience! Every one of you contribute to the unique experience of camp. It has been a blessing to witness campers become counselors-in-training (CIT’s) and eventually counselors. The people truly are what make camp great. I cannot describe how special it is to hear a father recounting his campe experiences to his son on opening day and to watch our veteran campers reunite with old friends each summer.
Lastly, I need to convey a special thanks to our wonderful staff! We could have the nicest facilities and equipment in the world, but the things that makes Camp Stanislaus truly great are our hardworking counselors and volunteers.
