LISA MOEN “ALL I ASK OF YOU” All I Ask Of You- written by Lisa Moen Recorded/Produced by - Bart McKay
Lisa wrote “All I Ask Of You” in hopes to inspire her listeners to never give up on their dreams and to have them relate to the experiences she’s gone through in her life. She reflects in this song to her earliest memory of singing, a solo in the church choir when she was 6 years old, after she finishes her song and goes back to sit beside her mom in the little church pew her mother turned to her and said, “Wow girl you can sing!! If this is something you love, you go and make your destiny come true!”. These words stuck. Click on the picture to watch Lisa’s video. Throughout high school Lisa was bullied, and had to go as far as having a restraining order against someone for threatening to kill her twice. Lisa touches on the issue of bullying in “All I Ask Of You”, she has always reflected on the words of wisdom her mother said to her to get her through challenging times. Now, being a mother of two young children these words of wisdom mean even more to Lisa. A touching, inspiring, real-life song that exposes Lisa’s ability to put memories into music as a songwriter and artist. A song to relate to, be inspired by and enouraged that dreams do come true, no matter the circumstances. Lisa has been singing since age 6, professionally since age 19. Lisa was the Saskatchewan Country Music Award “Rising Star” Winner in 2015, Voted Planet S Magazine’s “Best New Act” 2015 and on the Cover of PINK Magazine, a Saskatchewan Woman Entrepre-
neur Magazine. Lisa has opened for the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Trooper, and performed multiple times on the Saskatchewan Main Stage at Craven Country Jamboree. Lisa has released 4 original songs to Canadian Country Radio, “Silly Boys Trucks Are For Girls”, “Testdrive”, “Before Sundown” and now.. “All I Ask Of You”.... As well as 6 single releases to Canadian Radio with her previous band BULLRUSH. Joining Lisa in her band and musical performances is Lisa’s dad, Myles Myrol. Myles is no stranger to the Country Music scene in Saskatchewan as he is a 4 time Saskatchewan Country Music Association winner with his previous band The Myrol Brothers. Myles has been in Lisa’s bands on either drums, bass or guitar for the past 15 years. Performing “All I Ask Of You” with her dad is a full circle experience as he was there encouraging Lisa through all of life’s obstacles and supporting her with musical projects and opportunities since she was a very young age. “All I Ask Of You” follows up Lisa’s last three ORIGINAL single radio releases - “Silly Boys, Trucks Are For Girls”(#1 released song on DMDS the day of release), “Testdrive” (#3 on DMDS the day after release) and “Before Sundown”. All of Lisa’s songs are recorded and produced by CCMA and SCMA (Saskatchewan) Award Winner Bart McKay.

Fresh off the launch of their A COUNTRY CHRISTMAS TOUR with a sold-out show in Green Bay, WI, Columbia Records’ all-vocal country group Home Free releases their Christmas album FULL OF (EVEN MORE) CHEER last Friday. Produced by Darren Rust, the expanded version of their well-loved Christmas album features two additional tracks, “Colder Weather” and “How Great Thou Art,” plus vocals by new member Adam Chance. Available now at all digital retailers, fans can also get their hands on physical copies exclusively at Walmart. “I grew up singing in church so any chance I have to record Christmas music, I’m in. You can never fit all of your favorite Christmas songs on one album,” laughed Austin Brown. “When Adam [Chance] joined the group, it gave us the perfect excuse to make a deluxe version of ‘FULL OF CHEER.’ Recording ‘How Great Thou Art’ was really special for me personally and our producer Darren Rust did an absolutely incredible arrangement on it! We can’t wait for all of our fans to hear the album.” Since being crowned NBC’s “The Sing-Off ” victors, Home Free has made their mark on the music scene selling more than 250,000 copies combined of their popular albums, CRAZY LIFE and FULL OF CHEER,
embarking on four major national tours and amassing over 100 million YouTube views. They will be bringing their show to Canada in April with shows in Burlington, Ontario – Burlington Performing Arts Centre, Moncton NB at the Capitol Theatre and in Fredericton, NB at The Playhouse. Lonestar “My Christmas List” It was about three years ago that Lonestar released this album. It was right around the time that Ritchie McDonald had left the group (He’s back now) and they put out My Christmas List. This was a cool Christmas album with songs like Up On The Rooftop where they got their kids involved. The same year Ritchie also released a Christmas album with a single called Why Is Santa Fat.
This is just a sample of some of the Christmas music available. I am sure we will receive a lot more in the weeks ahead. We will continue next week with more Christmas music and we will go back a few years just in case if you are like me say “oh I forgot about that one” There is something about Christmas music that makes listeners feel good, makes them happy and builds excitement especially with the kids in the family as they await for Santa to arrive.

STEVE WARINER SET TO RELEASED HIS 20TH STUDIO ALBUM, ALL OVER THE MAP, For his 20th studio album, four-time GRAMMY Award winner Steve Wariner knew he had to do something really special. When All Over The Map began coming together, it became clear just what that would be. The 12-track album evolved into a remarkable tribute to the Grand Ole Opry member’s influences, both living and deceased, in addition to a celebration of his lineage. While packed with acclaimed guest musicians, the set — released on SelecTone Records — artfully showcases Wariner’s own musical talents. In addition to producing the album, he plays guitar, upright bass, drums and both pedal and lap steel, as well as singing on seven of the songs. (The other five are classic instrumentals.) Wariner also penned 10 of the tracks. A touching tribute to late mentor Chet Atkins, titled “CGP,” takes its name from the coveted title Atkins bestowed on Wariner: Certified Guitar Player. On the track, Wariner enlisted the talents of the only two other living musicians to have earned the same title from Atkins, Tommy Emmanuel and John Knowles. The album also includes “When I Still Mattered To You,” a song Wariner wrote with Merle Haggard on a cruise ship in 1996 but had never previously record-
ed. Close friend Ricky Skaggs, who Wariner won his first GRAMMY with in 1992, is featured playing mandolin on “Down Sawmill Road.” Other celebrated musicians featured on the album include: Musicians’ Hall of Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Duane Eddy (“Nashville Spy-Line”), GRAMMY Award winner Eric Johnson (“Meanwhile Back In Austin”), Greg Martin of The Kentucky Headhunters (“Way It Goes”) and Jack Pearson (“Drop Top”). But it’s Wariner’s own family that provides the bulk of the inspiration for the album, which was 20 months in the making. Throughout the creation of the album, Steve relied heavily on his son Ross, who lives in New York, for advice and consultation on the technical production aspects of the album. He wrote the Western swing tune “Mr. Roy” as a tribute to his musician father, and “Down Sawmill Road” is named for the Kentucky road where his mother grew up. His GRAMMY-nominated son Ryan Wariner wrote and plays on the track “The Last Word.” Steve is a great guy and this sounds like a great album. Check it out.
