ANDREW FRELICK TO RELEASE “TIL I FOUND LOVE” FEAT. FAITH NUMADA FEBRUARY 6TH Dynamic and determined are just two words that can best describe Halifax, NS born country artist, Andrew Frelick! Growing up in nearby Bridgewater, NS, Andrew is a natural talent delivering rich vocals, country guitar, and a polished live off the floor sound. Rapidly building momentum following artist showcase performances during the 2015 CMA Fest & CCMA weeks, Andrew is making his mark in country music, and is definitely one to watch. Releasing Music Nova Scotia’s 2016 nominated “Country Recording of the Year” in August 2015, “Time Stands Still” both fuelled Frelick’s growth as a country artist, and added to his credibility as a proficient songwriter with co-writes on four of the six tracks. A single/demo version of “Spread Some Good Time Around” was released early 2015 and finished as a regional semi finalist in the CBC Searchlight 2015 contest. Additionally “SSGTA” reached a high of #18 in June 2015 on “The Iceman’s Top 40 New Artist Country Countdown” which airs on BestCountryRadio.com. As a result of the song’s success, Andrew was invited to perform in Nashville, TN on June 14th during CMA Fest 2015 on stages sponsored by Robert Golomboski (The Iceman), KORE PR, NStyle Country, Tunesmith Entertainment, and 101.5FM “THE ONE”. The venues of Boot Barn, Plush Ultra Lounge, & George Jones Entertainment Complex were right in the heart of downtown Nashville during the largest country music festival of the year. Soon after, “Without You I’ve Got Nothing” was released exclusively to online radio and reached a high of #8 on the same countdown, as well as #5 on popular Chicago based “Country Blast Radio“. This paved the way for Frelick’s first official music video which
was filmed and produced by Ora Walker. The video, filmed at the spectacular Peggy’s Cove, NS, as well as several other downtown Halifax, NS locations, is the perfect visual match for such a well written song by co-writers Doug Folkins and Codie Prevost. After gaining a substantial following online, Andrew has a clear vision and has his sights set on mainstream radio charts. The EP, “Time Stands Still”, produced by veteran Nashville Producer Chip Hardy, released to iTunes on 08/22/15, and within 48 hours of its release, became a “New and Noteworthy” album for the country genre and reached #78 on Top Canadian Country Albums on iTunes. The first single from the EP, “UNLOVE YOU”, was released to Canadian Country Radio via Lauren Tutty Radio Promotions on 08/24/15, and has seen success and received positive feedback from online & terrestrial stations coast to coast. The follow up radio release “Time Stands Still”, released in January 2016, also via Lauren Tutty Radio Promotions, and has continued momentum and aided in the growing popularity of artist, Andrew Frelick. Andrew continues to support the Nashville recorded album “Time Stands Still”, through radio releases, interviews, and performance dates which have included LIVE performances during the 2015 & 2016 Josie Music Awards (Country Blast Radio) in Nashville, TN. It was there he was nominated for three awards in 2015 and seven in 2016, taking home wins in two 2016 categories : “Country Blast Radio Charting Award” & “Modern Country Male Artist – Song of the Year - Unlove You”. Andrew’s new single “Til I Found Love” features Faith Numada and we predict this will be Andrew’s biggest single to date. Andrew Frelick is bound for national success on radio across Canada. Check out this single February 6th arriving on DMDS.

Murray McLauchlan to release 19th studio album, ‘Love Can’t Tell Time’ on March 3 through Linus Entertainment Ever since Murray began writing songs and performing them in his late teens before moving on to famed venues like The Riverboat in Toronto and The Bitter End in New York, his astonishing status in Canada and around the world as a sturdy and beloved musician has been long settled.
in my heart. They were co written with my friend Alison Gordon, a take-no-prisoners gal who was a sportswriter, a novelist, a broadcaster and a great critic when any of us got off the rails. She passed away before I finished this record but she lives on in these songs.”
Back in the day, before Murray had actually recorded an album of his own, his riveting magnificent “Child’s Song” was already making the rounds after being recorded by American folk star Tom Rush. Live versions of his song “Honky Red” were performed by Kris Kristofferson, Waylon Jennings, and Bobby Neuwirth, adding to his growing and committed following. He received early song boosts from country music star George Hamilton IV.
Well served by a light and carefree approach to his free time, it was a recent trip to Italy that allowed his creative spirit to flow once again. “I rediscovered the joy of playing the guitar. I started learning a whole new language on it and found, to my great joy, that I could play a lot of music I loved that I couldn’t attempt before. My old haunted 1938 Hensell guitar was a great help in this process.”
Now, with his 19th (!!!) album, ”Love Can’t Tell Time,” Murray answers the question, what more can he bring to his legion of fans? “I guess the most notable thing about this record is the songs. They are a great collection of songs I love to play when I have no other agenda than just to enjoy playing music.” A mix of original material and a fair old-kicking to some much-admired chestnuts Pick Yourself Up, Hey There and Come Fly With Me, Murray says, “They’ve been around for quite a while but they are my songs, in so much as I have made them my own. They’ve seen me through some dark times and helped me celebrate seeing the clouds from the other side. Of the songs I wrote or co wrote, Love Just Can’t Tell Time and Little White Lies have a special place
And there’s no studio trickery here, either. “This is a simple record. I recorded it live off the floor. No artificial flavours or colours and no preservatives. Just me and the Hensell on one old tube mike and Victor Bateman on the doghouse bass facing me. Then we turned it over to Drew Jurecka for his brilliant string arrangements. I can’t seem to get that rebellious streak out of me that dictates when the world is going in one direction I have to strike out in the completely the opposite,” Murray explains. Then it’s still settled. Murray McLauchlan is back. Call the world. The new album is his first release in 6 years since ‘Human Writes’ in 2011.
Trisha Offers Casual, Colorful Super Bowl Hosting Tips on her T’s Coffee Talk on Facebook Live Trisha Yearwood’s Super Bowl countdown on Saturday morning (1/28) with the 50th episode of her Facebook Live show, T’s Coffee Talk. The country star sported eye-black and a Steve McNair Tennessee Titan’s jersey in honor of her adopted hometown, while her friend (and frequent T’s Coffee Talk cohost) Mandy sported a Peyton Manning Indianapolis Colts jersey. As a Georgia girl, Trisha announced that she’s rooting for the Atlanta Falcons at the Super Bowl but whichever team wins, it’s all about the Super Bowl party at home with friends. During the informal chat, Trisha shared easy-to-make party recipes, like her Fancy Chili. In honor of Cincinnati’s famous chili, she and Mandy proved there’s no wrong time for the dish as they enjoyed it for breakfast. Other party food suggestions included Jell-O shots, queso, and artichoke dip. She recommends her Redneck Sushi as great finger food and serves her Green Punch colored to match the team they’re rooting for. The casual host revealed she’s often still cooking as guests arrive and says above all, keep it simple - the best recipes are easy to make and often the most exotic spices in her kitchen are salt and pepper. Each week on T’s Coffee Talk, Trisha chats with fan and shares anecdotes. This week, she received compliments for her performance the night before and she gave the praise right back, saying it was one of the loudest sing-alongs she’s ever heard during “How Do I Live.” She gave away sets of her modern, feminine fragrance, Trisha Yearwood (perfume and body mist) with a shout-out to winner, Deborah Schneider. When room service arrived with fresh coffee, Trisha
forgot she had her eye-black on when answering the door. It recalled a (mis)adventure in babysitting years ago in Oklahoma when she and Mandy stayed up late with the girls while her husband was away. Shortly after Mandy left, she called Trisha saying she’d encountered “something in the road.” Loading the girls in the car, Trisha found her friend pulled over behind a miniature donkey who’d wandered away from home! The police came to help and only later did they realize they were chatting to the officers still dolled up from the makeovers the little girls had given them. Full episode of T’s Coffee Talk: https://www.facebook. com/search/top/?q=trisha%20yearwood Excerpts with time codes below: 1:20 - Today was the 50th live video for TY 1:55 - What do you serve at your Super Bowl parties? 3:00 – Trisha sported her Nashville Titans Steve McNair jersey and the proud Georgia girl is rooting for the Falcons next Sunday. 7:08 - Fans would like to see an all bloopers episode of TSK. 8:35 - Cincinnati fans posted how much they’re loving the shows. TY said last night the crowd sang loud and she loved it. 9:54 – Trisha, Mandy, and Jasper the donkey. 12:04 - Favorite super bowl party memory is being in OK with the girls and friends/family. Having a football pool. Making green punch but changing the color to whatever team they were rooting for. 18:24 - When cooking, the key is to “Keep it simple”
FACEBOOK THE WINNER Social media is such an important element for building your career. If you are like most people it is almost impossible to keep up with all social media available. Social media can build your fan base and of course keep your current fans interested in your career. If you are not current then people forget about you. Most artists hired a company to look after their social media for them. How important is social media. Look at what local advertisers are doing. They are taking their budgets away from traditional media and putting those dollars online. How much is Facebook tapping? At $10 billion last year, it was roughly the same amount the entire local radio industry got. It represented a 15% share of the local digital pie and a 3% share of all local advertising. This year we’re estimating it will total about $13 billion, or more than local advertisers spent on TV, newspapers, or radio. Growth continues to be strong, in the 35% to 45% range. Two-thirds of local businesses are spending money on Facebook, with the average expenditure going from $2,500 in 2016 to what we estimate will be $3,500 this year.
It is obvious that social media is important and also shows that the way people get information these days is very different then it was even a year ago. Spend a part of your budget in social media. It is important to get the right information out there as a building tool. As part of your team look at hiring a company to handle your social media it will pay off in the end with more fans that will buy your music
