Subject: Invitation to participate in a survey for those with, and at risk of breast cancer related lymphedema
Dear CLF Community Member,
We hope this email finds you well.
We are a team of healthcare providers, researchers, and guideline experts from across Canada who are working together to update the Canadian Clinical Practice Guideline for Breast Cancer Related Lymphedema. The future updated guideline recommendations will be used to help inform patients and their physicians on best healthcare practices involving the diagnosis, assessment, risk reduction, and management of lymphedema.
As part of this process, we are conducting a Canada-wide survey involving individuals who have, or are at risk of developing lymphedema after treatment for their breast cancer. We hope to identify the lymphedemaspecific educational needs of those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The survey is being conducted online and will consist of a series of questions asking about your experiences at different phases of your breast cancer treatment. The survey takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete, and is anonymous. The survey will remain open until June 30, 2023
You may open the survey in your web browser by clicking the link below: Language Preference/ Préférence de Langue
If the link above does not work, try copying the link below into your web browser: https://redcap.ualberta.ca/surveys/?s=TDCJRYXPRDJJTKXK
Following the initial survey, you may be given the option to participate in a second survey (if more information is needed) or attend an online focus group session. If you choose to take part in the next survey or focus group session, then you will need to share your first name and email address with us.
Should you have any questions or require further information, please feel free to reach out to the Lymphedema Working Group at frmacerd@ualberta.ca
Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete the survey. We sincerely appreciate your willingness to share your thoughts and provide feedback!
Sincerely,
Margaret McNeely, PT, PhD, and David Keast, MSc, MD FCFP (Guideline Co-Leads) Diane Martin and Susan Stratford (Guideline Advisors)
