With more than twenty experienced recruiters, GMS actively recruits safe and reliable professionals to work in the field, using a variety of means including television, radio, newspaper, social media, billboards, job fairs, and more. GMS contract professionals are thoroughly screened, given complete, up-to-date training, and arrive ready-to-work with all necessary PPE gear. They continue to be vetted collaboratively throughout a three month probationary period, afterwhich they are eligible to be hired. SAFETY FIRST. GMS employees log nearly 3 million man hours annually and boast the lowest incident rate in our sector!

That’s why GMS began the American Mining Academy. A state-of-the-art facility in southwestern Pennsylvania that includes a simulated underground mine and brings together some of the best instructors and experienced field personnel to prepare students for an exciting career in mining, or to provide quality refresher training to seasoned veterans.
