A Message from the Mayor

On behalf of my colleagues on City Council and the citizens of Thunder Bay, welcome to the Central Canada Resource Expo 2023!

Thunder Bay is built on the traditional territory of the Ojibwe people of Fort William First Nation, and is also an historic Métis settlement. As such, our community has been a meeting place for hundreds of years.

Those who reside in or near Thunder Bay know how fortunate we are to live here, surrounded by boundless, natural beauty. We are eager to share this, and our hospitality, with all attendees at Cen-Can.

The objectives of the Expo are to showcase innovations in resource technologies, talk about sustainable development, and discuss opportunities to foster regional economic growth. It's exciting to see what’s new, and hear about what’s ahead in mining, forestry and energy here in central Canada!
