50 Years of Proud Service
winning times at tracks in Canada and the US. Most recently we have a new entry on the circuit with TEAM Henny/Equipment World Racing. Fred Henny and his pit crew will proudly represent our brand on the dirt track this year.
Not only is racing a great opportunity to show support for their involved employees, but it is also a great after work, extra curricular for other staff to enjoy. Sports have a wonderful way of bringing people together, especially if there is a familiar face competing. In Summer 2022, Equipment World hosted a staff night at the brand-new Thunder City Speedway in Thunder Bay. This brought the families together - young and old - to enjoy a night of fun.
Providing a Positive Brand Experience
“I started in May of 1997 as an outside sales, account manager, East to develop new business opportunities in the eastern division of the District of Thunder Bay and the District of Cochrane”, says Dave Siczkar, who is the company’s longest standing business account manager. In a quick chat with Dave, we can learn just how essential different forms of communication are when providing customer service.
By meeting face-to-face or even over a quick telephone conversation, we can learn so much more about our customers’ needs. Yes, technology can be extremely helpful in certain situations, but going the extra mile to visit customers on-site, can help us better understand the environment and recommend appropriate product and installation. While Dave enjoys doing his rounds by visiting customer sites, he also accommodates for those who would rather chat an alternate way.
“I fully understand the need to blend the old ways, with the new ways of communicating with our valued customers. Advancement in technology stops for no one. We must adapt ”, says Siczkar.
“My favourite aspect of the job is the unique variety of business and people that I have had the privilege of meeting over the last 26+ years. This also resulted in presenting many unique products in relation to solving the material handling requirements of our customers, with many complex solutions that would meet their varied needs ”, says Siczkar.
