Rules for Pro Classes 1. You can only ride one 20” class on Sunday 2. Riders 17+ - one entry fee enters riders into both Saturday 14+ and Sunday 17+ (automatic) 3. Riders 14-16 – must enter Sunday age 20” + pay “14+ Pro top up” to be eligible for Saturday 14+ event 4. 14+ is money race only – no championship. 17+ is State Championship Class (trophy for Sunday only) 5. Saturday prizemoney will have a prize pool of $2,000, Sunday prizemoney prize pool of $4,500. Gender Equity applies 6. “A” riders are require to hand logbooks to scoring upon registration for payment of prize money.
Racing:
The event will consist of 3 Moto’s (weather permitting) followed by Deadman Quarters, Semis and Finals. Sprockets & Mini Wheelers will have 4 moto’s no final Racing conducted under BMXA ARB 013.1.a & 013.2.b

I fully understand the nature of the activities to be conducted and acknowledge the hazards involved. I hereby acknowledge that I will have sole responsibility for my personal possessions and equipment during the event and its related activities. I hereby consent to receive medical treatment that may be deemed advisable in the circumstances of injury, accident and/or illness during the event. I agree to be bound by the Regulations and General Conditions for this event as published by ACT BMX Association. I agree to be contacted by email in relation to this entry or for volunteering at your event. I hereby consent to the publication of or use in any form of media whatsoever of my name, image, statements or otherwise in any content pertaining to the event or otherwise before, during or after the event whether for advertising, promotion or otherwise. It is a condition of entry that all eligible riders agree to be drug tested and conform to the regulations and procedures as laid down by the relevant testing agency. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE REGULATIONS WILL AUTOMATICALLY RESULT IN THE RECORDING OF A POSITIVE TEST RESULT AND PENALTIES WILL APPLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH BMXA ANTIDOPING POLICY. 2016 ACTBMXA Championship 1. VENUE: Canberra BMX Club, Copland Drive MELBA and held over two days, Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May 2016. Official Practice session Friday 29th April 2016. 2. OPENING AND CLOSING: Saturday 30th April 11:30 am. Opening Ceremony, motos, and finals. Presentation will be conducted for Sprockets, Mini Wheelers, 14+ Pro, & Cruiser classes at the conclusion of their racing on Saturday. Sunday 1st May racing will commence at 10am Presentation for 20” Challenge classes and 17+ Pro will be held at the conclusion of their racing Sunday.
Regulations & Conditions of Entry 4. RACING: Saturday racing commences at 12:00pm for Sprockets, Mini Wheelers, 14+ Pro & 24” Cruisers Sunday racing commences at 10:00am for all 20” Challenge and 17+ Pro. 5. MOTOS & FINALS: The event will consist of 3 Moto’s (weather permitting) followed by Deadman Quarters, Semis and Finals. Sprockets & Mini Wheelers will have 4 moto’s no final. TRANSFERS: Points scored at the end of Moto’s followed by Dead Man Quarters, Semis and Finals as required under BMXA ARB Rule 013.1.a. In classes with 9 or less riders will be run under BMXA ARB rule 013.2.b applicable.
Presentation will be at the track (Canberra BMX Club) immediately after racing finishes and scores are finalised. OFFICIAL PRACTICE: Riders must be registered and have their assigned competitor plate and transponder fitted for official practice. The track will be closed at all other times. First Aid will be present during official practice: Friday 29th April 2016 – 9:00am -5:00pm for all classes Saturday 30th April – 8am -11am only for classes racing that day Sunday 1st May – 8:00 am to 9:50 am only for classes racing that day All official practice time class allocations will be announced in supplementary regulations to be released after close of entries. 3. REGISTRATION: Riders are to register at the event to confirm arrival and participation and present a current BMXA licence. Registration times are: a. Friday: 8.30am –12noon & 1pm-5.00pm b. Saturday: 8.00am – 10.00am c. Sunday: 8.00am -9:00am Any riders not signed on at close of registration will be removed from the event
6. TRANSPONDERS: All scoring will be by transponders. All riders (except Sprockets & Mini Wheelers) will be required to have a transponder correctly fitted to their bike. If a rider does not supply their own transponder they can be hired at a cost of $16.00. This charge is NOT included in the entry price. It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure that the transponder is correctly fitted to their bike. There will be a transponder testing station at Registration. Hire transponders must be returned to the race organiser at the conclusion of racing & failure to do so will incur a cost to the rider of $150 plus costs. Riders competing in both 24” Cruiser & 20” Challenge classes will use the same transponder for both bikes. Riders competing on Saturday, if entering more than 1 class on a different bike the rider will be required to have a transponder for each bike. If you are sharing a bike with another rider you must notify Registration at sign on. Undersubscribed classes may be combined after close of entries and after registration closes.
7. CLASSES: Mini Wheelers, Sprockets, challenge/age, cruiser, 14+ Pro & 17+ Pro will be run for both male and female classes. Four (4) registered riders constitute a class. Registered riders by close of registration will be used to constitute classes, any under subscribed classes, will be combined at the discretion of the Race Director. 11. POST ENTRIES TO: ACT BMXA Registrar PO Box 325 KIPPAX ACT 2615 Cheques/ Money orders to be made payable to: ACTBMXA inc. (no cash in mail) Dishonoured cheques will invalidate an entry Dishonoured cheque fees must be paid to ACTBMXA. No phone, fax, Facebook, sms or e-mail entries. 12. AWARDS/PLATES/PRIZE MONEY:
Awards to all sprocket and Mini Wheeler riders. Awards to all challenge and cruiser finalists. 17+ Pro Awards 1-3 and prize money 1-8 total prize pool $4,500, gender equity applies. 14+ Pro Prize Money 1-8, prize money pool $2000. Gender Equity applies. 13. RACING NUMBER: All riders will be provided with a competitor plate and assigned number which will be the only plate to be used for the event and practice sessions. Riders are to ensure they have the correct numbers on their plate or they may not be scored. A preferred number can be nominated on the riders entry form and we will try to accommodate this but there are no guarantees. For riders wishing to ride their current World, National, ACT State Plate and UCI career number, this number must be indicated on entry form. Changes will not be made/allowed after close of entries. 14. SCRUTINEERING: Scrutineering will be held at random during the event. Riders with a cast are not permitted to ride.
* NOTE: 14+ Pro is a non-championship event and is free and automatic, if you have entered in 17+Pro. 14-16 years MUST be entered into a Challenge Class for the Sunday and MUST pay a “top up fee” of $35. Prize money for 14+Pro is worth one third out of weekend prize pool. Gender equity applies.
15. MOTO DRAW: The moto and lane draw will be completed after completion of Registration. Only entrants who have attended registration and confirmed their intention to compete in the event will be included in the draw.

16. ACCEPTANCE: A List of Entrants will be posted on the ACTBMXA web site www.actbmx.com.au. It is the rider’s responsibility to confirm that their entry is correct.
8. DRUG TESTING: All entrants agree to submit to the standard Australian Drug in Sport testing for the use of drugs. Random testing may occur. 9. ENTRY FEES: The below fees DO NOT include the $16.00 transponder hire fee (not applicable to Mini Wheelers/Sprockets). Riders with their own transponder must list the number on the entry form. If you do not have your own transponder you will be charged a $16.00 hire fee. 17. REFUNDS: Refunds will not be accepted without a Medical Certificate. Strictly No refunds will be given after 8th May 2016. All refunds will be less $15.00 for costs incurred which includes applicable levies and admin costs. No refunds will be offered due to weather conditions or other reasons outside of ACTBMX’s control which forces the cancellation of the event. 18. ALCOHOL: No alcohol is to be consumed at the track or its environs by either riders or spectators. 19. SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted 20. FINAL SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS: ACTBMXA will make Supplementary Regulations for the conduct of this event these will be posted on ACTBMXA Website ACTBMXA. 21. FORCE MAJEURE: ACT BMXA, the Event Management Group or the Board of Management shall not be responsible or liable to riders, parents, sponsors or any other party as a result of any failure to perform any of its obligations, if such failure results from circumstances beyond the control of such party. 22.
