Brumbies claim Kiwi scalp

While the Reds, Waratahs and Force all lost their latest Kiwi matchups, the Brumbies restored some pride in Australian rugby with a crucial 28-17 victory over the Highlanders in Melbourne on Sunday 24 April.

The Brumbies have now won eight of nine matches and sit second on the Super Rugby Pacific ladder.

The Canberra side host the Hurricanes at GIO Stadium on Sunday 1 May at 2pm.

Raiders thumped by Panthers

The Canberra Raiders’ poor start to the season has continued with a 36-6 loss to the Panthers on Sunday afternoon in Penrith.

The Raiders have now lost four straight and are in desperate need of a win when they face the Warriors in Redcliffe on Saturday 30 April.

CBR Brave set to return to the ice this weekend

The long wait for ice hockey fans finally comes to an end, with the CBR Brave kicking off the 2022 season this weekend against the Melbourne Ice in Melbourne.

This year’s competition sees a return to normality for ice hockey in Australia, with the Goodall Cup up for grabs for the first time since 2019.

GWS fall to Saints at Manuka

The GWS Giants have dropped their first match at Manuka Oval this season, losing by 17 points to the St Kilda Saints on Friday night, 22 April.

The Giants return to Canberra in two weeks to take on Geelong on Saturday 7 May.
