Welcome to the 7s party! Why Canc煤n 7s? The Mexican Rugby Federation continues with the tradition of organizing the Cancun Sevens Tournaments which started back in 2008. Over the years we have received teams from all over the world including, Germany, Argentina, Belize, Canada, Costa Rica, USA, Guatemala and England. After a great edition last year where we had country selections from Costa Rica, Mexico and Guatemala we also had teams of the highest level from Argentina and the USA. With the growth of the sport in Mexico there were also several local development teams, this year we plan to have an even larger event in one of the natural beauties of the world that is the Riviera Maya. We look forward to receiving many Mexican and foreign teams this year and having a great Rugby weekend. We hope you will come and enjoy the Mexican hospitality, the beautiful beaches and the culture and archeological wonders of the Riviera Maya. Francisco Echeguren President 路 Mexican Rugby Union President 路 Canc煤n Rugby Sevens 6

"In all rugby events of rugby there are people who the better they do their task the less noticed they are; however this people enjoy the games from a great position, and above all, they have a special love for our unique sport: the Referees. The Cancun Sevens has always had an enthusiastic participation of referees, with an attitude of values that are an example to all of us on and off the field. It's a great honor and I'm sure that the 2014 Edition will be no exception.

MEDICAL SERVICES The Cancun Sevens has medical support at the tournament with Doctors, medical assistants and a ambulance service. The medical staff will provide medical care to: • Players who are playing and who suffered an injury • Seriously injured players in previous matches that require medical care while evaluating how to proceed in the event of a major emergency (eg. evacuation to a hospital if necessary). The medical staff of the tournament DOESNT’s provide : • physiotherapy • taping • or other care that is not related to immediate emergency medical assistance and transfer to a hospital . The use of the ambulance is to transport seriously injured players from the field to a hospital or a place with a higher level of emergency assistance. Players whose injuries are not considered serious and want to continue to have medical care will have to move on their own. Due to the medical service being specialized and accountable for assistance to the players, it is of great importance that no one distracts the medical staff from their duties. Note: any complaint and wrong used of the medical service by participating teams will be reported to the tournament organizing committee to act accordingly immediately.
