Housing as a building typology is an anomaly. It bares the most intimate relationship to human behaviors and at the same time it needs to be connected to social networks. This Design Directed Research aims to study the inter logic of housing formation as computational protocol for proposal of a housing prototype which is meant to be generated and evolved with residents’ inhabitancy. Preset logic of space arrangement allows flexibility for various people’s and families’ needs, while allowing further developed together with residents’ living conditions. Geometry Interpretation Options

The normals of faces in a mesh (formwork) are in pposite direction and change the direction of mesh thickness (cement pour). As a result, the cement pour is not continuous.

The normals of faces are in a same diretion if double layer formwork is used. But each layer is connected to different surfaces and is under different tensions. As a result, the cement pour is very thick.

The normals of faces in one layer formwork are in same direction of each side of the mesh and alternate vertically in every story of the building (inside becomes outside). As a result, the cement pour is thin and continuous.
