BUDGET-FRIENDLY PICNIC PARTY

PLANNING A PICNIC PARTY Looking through the 2015 calendar, we have seen that there are some long weekends happening throughout the months. We think that it will be fun to organize a picnic with some friends and catch up with life lately. But then, for some people, preparing an event can be very overwhelming or expensive. That’s what we felt before too. But we brainstormed together and made a plan and ended up figuring out that it is super easy and affordable! That’s why, we would like to share with you 5 tips on planning a picnic party! And of course, it is budget-friendly. 1. Pick an Outdoor Space and Check the Weather Forecast On preparing any event, location is one of the most important thing on the list. When it comes to picnic, I suggest you to make it outdoor because it is very relaxing to spend some times in nature. 2. Invite Your Friends Well, what is the point of organizing a picnic without anyone playing around with you? Now that you have picked the best place and time, regarding the weather forecast, it is time for you to invite some friends! 3. Prepare Some Yummy Food This part can be overwhelming if you prepare everything by yourself or from scratch. There are some things that you can do to prepare the big feast. One thing is you can do it potluck style or you can just buy the cooked meal or snacks. 4. Plan Your Activities Ahead Being a host of the picnic party, you do not want to make the picnic end up being too boring or too chaotic. Your rundown doesn’t have to be super detailed. But it is good to determine what to do first, next and later on. 5. Prepare Your Essentials There are some things that you can not leave out as well. GARLAND When it comes to party or any special celebration, it is nice to have pretty decoration to help liven up the situation. Decor can also help filling the empty space or ‘separate’ one room to another. We know that preparing decor can be very time consuming and messy. So, we thought why not make it simple? Especially because our picnic party is held outdoor, it did not really need that much decor. The place itself is quite nice with all the green and natural lights. So we came up with the solution which is garland. It is very easy to be made and it brings out party atmosphere. So, win-win! Yeay!

Tools and Materials: Scrap paper, String, Double tape, Scissor, Pen, Ruler, Thick cardboard

5. You can put the tape along the line or on the beginning and the end of the line. 6. Open

the tape and put the string on the top of it. 7. Fold the top to the inside so the string will be hidden between the papers. 8. Repeat step 4-7 and do it for the rest of the triangles. The number of the triangles and the length of the string really depend on the length of the garland that you need.
