TwoIndonesianNavyBoats (Kadet6andKadet7)rushedto thescenetoboardpassengers pluckedfromtheseabylocal outriggerfshingboatsandany remainingpassengersandcrew stillaboardtheburningship.The rescueeffortwassoonjoinedby 11DenpasarSearchand

RescueCommandpersonnel usingtworigid-backzodiacs. Alsojoiningtherescueeffort weretwoIndonesianNaval Vessels(KRIRE Martadinata-331andKRISultan Hasanuddin-366)whowere coincidentallyonstandbyinBali inconnectionwiththeG20 SummitinSouthBali.

Passengersandcrewwere transportedbyseatothePortof TanjungwangiatBanyuwnagi, EastJava.Eightpeople reportedlymanagedtoland ashoreinKarangasem,Bali.

Pressreportssaytheblaze consumedanddestroyedthe passengers’personal belongingsandallmotor vehiclesonboard.

Noinjuriesorfatalitieshave beenreportedinconnectionwith theincident.Atlastreport,the KMMutiaraTimurIwasstill afoatinthewatersclosetothe Karangasemshoreline.
