Darren’s over from Spain First stop - ‘The Potteries’ Darren arrived for a weeks stay late on Friday 5th April. Next day it was the short trip up the motorway to Stoke for an important relegation battle. What a day the sun shone and Villa won 3-1, including a fantastic strike by Matt Lowton, which led to our appearance on Sky Sports.
Saturday Night Fun at Star City Mini Golf On returning from the enjoyable trip to Stoke Larry and Darren were joined by other members of the family for a round of Mini Golf at Star City. Callum especially enjoyed himself, though his scoring was a little high!!
We’re all off to Sheldon Country Park On Sunday 7th April Larry and Lynne took Isobel, Morgan and Callum to Marston Green, and then across the bridge to Sheldon Country Park. As usual Callum loved the trains and aeroplanes, and the girls took turns on his sit on ride.
On the Train to the Transport Museum On Wednesday 10th April it was off to Marston Green to catch the train to Coventry for a visit to the Transport Museum. This was the last day out together before Darren returned home to Spain.
More April H ighlights Stake 5-a-side Tournament On Saturday 20th April Larry and Aaron took part in the Coventry Stake 5-a-side Football Tournament.Beating Coventry ‘A’ Team in the final made it three successive victories for Chelmsley Wood.
Lyme Regis Day Out On Wednesday 24th April Larry joined a group of Heartlands Year 10 Students for a Geography Field trip to the seaside town of Lyme Regis. A great day out was enjoyed by all-much more fun than work!!
