He a rtl a n ds Edgbaston Vi si t On Thursday 4th July we took a small group of students to Edgbaston for a special Training Day. The lads really enjoyed themselves, and had the opportunity to meet ‘Cricket Greats’ Alec Stewart and Wasim Akram. Larry also managed to have himself photographed with the two superstars!!
Off to Wicksteed Park!! Coventry Transport Museum ....... On Saturday 6th July we made the most of the sunshine and headed off to Wicksteed Park. Isobel and Morgan joined us for the day and we all had an enjoyable day together with plenty of rides and a picnic lunch.

New Order at Jodrell Bank Coventry Transport Museum ....... On Sunday 7th July Larry and Carl headed up the M6 to see New Order play a gig at Jodrell Bank, they were supported by Johnny Marr. It was quite an impressive sight as we arrived - seeing the massive “Lovell Telescope� next to the stage. This looked even better during the concert with a light show adding to the fantastic music.
Drayton Manor Park Trip Thursday 18th July was the Heartlands YR10 trip to Drayton Manor Park, and Mike Williams’ last day at school. A beautiful sunny day - but every school in England must have been there!! So not many rides for anybody but we still got wet!!

Making the most of the sun It’s off to Barmouth!! On Saturday 21st July we headed off to Barmouth for a day in the sun - Callum’s first visit to Wales. The weather was beautiful, so plenty of time on the beach, as well as a trip across the estuary to Fairbourne.

Fun in theTransport Sun at the Waterpark Coventry Museum ....... On the afternoon of Friday 26th July Nanny and Grandad took Callum to Kingsbury Waterpark. Another beautiful sunny day, and a trip on the smallest steam train, feeding the ducks and playing in the park - finishing off with a chocolate ice lolly of course!!
