Minister of Health Hon Andrew Little has announced the Minister of Health Volunteer Awards for 2021.

The awards are an opportunity to recognise teams and individuals for their selfless commitment and dedication to improving the lives of others, he says. “These local heroes freely share their time and energy to benefit others. Their generosity and hard work deserve our gratitude every day and these awards are one way of doing that.” To the volunteers, Minister Little says: “Thank you for the contribution you make to our hospitals and communities.” Organisations can choose to nominate an individual volunteer or team of volunteers. Nominations could be for long-term commitment and achievement, an outstanding success, or action above and beyond the call of duty. If you know a person or a team of volunteers who deserve a shout out nominate them before July 16. The awards will be presented at Parliament in August.
