Friday 22 April was Earth Day, an annual global event to recognise and raise awareness of the environmental movement and how we can all contribute to a healthier planet. The theme of this year’s Earth Day was ‘invest in our planet’. Investing in the long-term goal of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 to try to keep the global temperature rise below 1.5°C.
