community engagement AND cultural planning course 10, 11 & 12 August, and 13 & 14 September 2010 >> what is community engagement and cultural planning? >> participant feedback ‘The course was a great balance of theory, practical experience and discussion. It has opened my eyes up to new ways of engaging and consulting the community and pushed me to think “outside the square”. I feel confident that I now have the skills to develop a Cultural Plan and understand the underpinning principles that can ensure an approach that it is both strategic and inclusive.’ Jeanette Entwhistle, Community Development Officer, Shire of Harvey

‘I would encourage any organisation that works with communities whether a local government authority, a state government agency or a nongovernment agency to consider sending a staff member … Participants can expect to be extended beyond their comfort zone to build up skills that they will be able to apply when they return to their organisation.’ G. Wallace, WA Museums
