Active Schools Active Schools is a national network of staff working across Scotland to provide more and higher quality opportunities for children and young people to participate in sport before, during and after school. The team work to increase the number of opportunities available to children by recruiting volunteers, and also work hard to build partnerships with clubs and other community organisations to create ‘pathway’ for pupils to continue their participation in sport once they leave school. Aberdeen City have a team of 11 Co-ordinators working across all state schools clusters in the city. There are two Co-ordinators assigned to cover Bridge of Don, covering the Oldmachar and Bridge of Don associated school groups. If you would like to know more about the Active Schools programme in your school (or local area), or would be interested in volunteering to help support some of our programmes (no experience required!), please contact: Graeme Dale (Active Schools Manager) Active Schools Team (Bridge of Don ASG) tel: 0845 608 0935 email: activeschools@sportaberdeen.co.uk
