Bloodywood has been making waves in the metal scene since 2016. The band consists of guitarist Karan Katiyar, Jayant Bhadula and Raoul Kerr on vocals, Sarthak Pahwa playing dhol (a traditional Indian drum), Roshan Roy on bass and a drummer - Vishesh Singh. What sets Bloodywood apart from other metal bands is their fusion of traditional Indian music with metal, creating a unique and captivating sound. The band's name, Bloodywood, is a play on words that reflects their mission to bridge the gap between the East and the West, which is also reflected in mixed languages – the rapping parts are in English and bridges and choruses in Hindi They aim to celebrate their Indian heritage while also paying homage to their love for metal. The band's music often features the use of traditional Indian instruments, such as the sitar and the dhol, alongside distorted guitars and thundering drums.

One of Bloodywood's most popular tracks is "Machi Bhasad," which translates to "Total Chaos" in Hindi. The song's lyrics reflect the chaos and confusion that often arise in modern-day India, touching on topics such as corruption and social injustice. The music video for "Machi Bhasad" has amassed over 30 million views on YouTube, making it the band's mostwatched video to date. Another standout track from Bloodywood is "Ari Ari," which features a catchy chorus and a driving beat that will have listeners headbanging in no time. The music video for "Ari Ari" is a colorful and vibrant celebration of Indian culture, featuring dancers in traditional attire and intricate henna designs. In addition to their music, Bloodywood is known for their high-energy live performances I can attest to that Believe you me – you cannot just stand still! The band has toured extensively throughout India and Europe, playing at some of the biggest metal festivals in the world

So far they have released one album - “Rakshak” and it definitely is worth a listen (they also released Anti-pop vol. 1 album in 2017 with covers of pop songs, but it does not count as their debut and, in truth, is very difficult to find it online).

Bloodywood's unique blend of Indian music and heavy metal has earned them a devoted fanbase and critical acclaim. They have been featured in publications such as Metal Injection and Loudwire With their infectious energy and distinctive sound, Bloodywood is a band that is sure to continue making waves in the metal scene for years to come
