If you missed out on the first season of our podcast, The Capital Cut, make sure to put some time aside for a binge as we’ve just uploaded season 2!

As well as providing inspiration online and in this magazine, we really wanted to share the stories of the best in the business. In season one we had the brilliant ‘balayage boss’ Samantha Cusick dropping some amazing business gems, as well as Salon System expert Lisa Stone.

Season two begins with the amazingly talented – and newly promoted Artistic Director – Marlon Hawkins of Brooks & Brooks who talks about the process of vardering. Then we’ve got the inimitable Simon Shaw, Wahl’s Global Artistic Director sharing his thoughts on why all hair pros should be able to present to the public.

Next, we have Helena Biggs, Managing Editor of nail industry bible Scratch magazine, who shares some hilarious celebrity encounters, followed by Julie Bellinger, founder of Gorgeous, a hair PR company; with four decades under her belt, Julie also has plenty of truly mind-boggling industry stories.

As we continue to build on the podcast we will be sharing video snippets from each guest over on Instagram @capitalhair and we’re also looking for your suggestions! Who would you really love to hear on The Capital Cut? If there’s a hair or beauty pro that you’ve always wanted to know more about, let us know over in the DMs on Instagram @capitalhair.
