For 41 years, Jim Finley’s labor of love was a no-frills gym he ran on the second floor of his auto repair shop at 10th Street and Maryland Avenue, NE. Boxing greats like Bob Foster and Sugar Ray Leonard went there to spar. They spent time with neighborhood kids and adults, bringing joy to so many around them.
