Welcome to the Regenerative Communities Network! We applaud your leadership and look forward to collaborating to accelerate regenerative development in your bioregion and beyond. Our platform is a tool to support on-the-ground work within the Network to regenerate the communities we call home.
G E T T I N G S TA RT E D 1. Login by clicking on the button in the top right of the welcome page. You can sign in with your email or a linked Google+, Facebook, or LinkedIn account. 2. Visitors can request to join the Network here, and scrolling down provides a snapshot of global users, contact information for our Regenerative Development Office, links related to RegenCommunities.net

P L AT F O R M O V E RV I E W Upon logging in, the Live Feed is the first page you will see, and you will be able to navigate across the platform (including to space dedicated to your local regenerative hub) using the tool bar atop the page. You will also find a search bar atop the page, along with a functionality bar that can be used to post, update, see notifications and messages, and manage your account.
P L AT F O R M O V E RV I E W C O N T ’ D Live Feed: Where the highlights, most-current, and wide-reaching Network activity is promoted. You can make announcements to the full Network here, share events, upcoming trips, and more. Groups: Dedicated space for regenerative hubs and themes within the network. This is where you can engage directly with your local community and drive momentum behind regenerative projects. Toolkit: Theory, methodology, findings, and more stuff you’ll need to accelerate regenerative development, including principles of Regenerative Economics, stories of regenerative activity across the globe, trainings, and more. Projects: This is the space for projects with opportunities that transcend bioregional borders. It is also the place for sharing of project ideas, fielding advice or consultation as required.
P L AT F O R M O V E RV I E W C O N T ’ D News: Official news items and announcements curated by administrators, including hub conveners and designated collaborators. News items can be shared within groups or broadcast to the full Network via the Live Feed. People: A powerful tool to find Network members across the globe based on location, cluster, and other identifiers. Events: A home for events in support of regenerative activity. You can find, post, and manage events here. Jobs & Opportunities: Looking for the right person to support regenerative activity on a long- or short-term basis? This is the place to find them or engage with opportunities posted by other Network members.
F I N D I N G Y O U R W AY A R O U N D If you’re looking for the quickest way to catch up with Network activity and let people know what you’re up to, use the tool bar in the upper right corner of each page. • Click on the + to reveal a shortcut posting panel, which will allow you to post to the Live Feed, announce an upcoming trip to another hub region, share an opportunity, create an event, or invite someone to the platform. • Clicking on the bell icon will show your personal notifications, and the comment bubble takes you to your messages.
U P D AT I N G Y O U R P R O F I L E • Click on the circular icon in the top right corner of the page to access account settings. • Click on My Account in the dropdown menu to edit your account page. • LinkedIn members can quickly update their profile by clicking on the blue ‘Update from LinkedIn’ button in the bottom right corner of the banner/cover photo. Clicking will begin an autopopulation process based on your LinkedIn profile. • Click on the ‘Edit’ button in the top right corner of the banner/cover photo to upload a photo that may better represent your work and personality. • You can add a profile photo by clicking the large square icon with your first initial. • Fill out any empty fields under the Profile Info tab to help Network members know you and your work.
G R O U P S O V E RV I E W Groups represent space dedicated to the work of specific communities within the Network, including communities defined by bioregions and common interests. As such, groups on the Network are categorized by Hubs (bioregional-defined) and Themes (interest-defined). Users can filter the Groups page to feature Hubs, Themes, or groups you followed/joined. Groups can be public, enhancing collaboration with practitioners across the Network, or private, protecting sensitive project-related information or other work in progress. You can use this page to access your local hub or visit other public hubs and themes to learn and take advantage of opportunities to collaborate.
G R O U P S O V E RV I E W C O N T ’ D Each group contains a toolbar that mirrors the functionality of the global network, providing opportunities to post and share news, discover and manage events, find and engage members, share resources, and manage projects. Within groups is a local live feed, opportunities to set the tone of local regenerative activity with featured media, information and partners. Whether public or private, the group is designed to be home base for local regenerative work, supporting onthe-ground activity.
MANAGING YOUR GROUP Whether a Hub or a Theme, your group can be managed from top to bottom, assuming a look and feel that accurately reflects local culture and regenerative aspirations while capturing the current pulse of local regenerative activity. To access group administrative tools, click the button in the lower left corner of the banner image. Doing so will reveal a management pane with opportunities to customize your group’s appearance, manage content, target group members, invite new group members, and more.

Decide whether your group will be private or public by using the slider button in the upper right corner of the management pane. (The default setting is public). Click on the ‘Upload Picture’ button in the top right corner of the banner/cover photo. Upload a hi-resolution image. Recommended size is 1600x600 pixels. Images can be made darker to enhance superimposed characters like group names, if you desire. Edit your group’s name, location, and upload a logo just below the banner/cover photo. Recommended size is 400x400 pixels.
CUSTOMIZING YOUR GROUP CONT’D Add tags to your page to help people find your group. Tags may include your group’s name, location, or project-related terms (agriculture, manufacturing, etc.). • You have the opportunity to add a hub-related video to welcome members and visitors to your group. To do so, provide a link to your video in the field labeled ‘Video url’. • Add a description that reflects your hub’s work, purpose, aspirations, or any other descriptor you feel is appropriate. • If your group is private, use the sliders on the left side of the pane to decide whether your description and video will be available to the public. •

Add external links in support of your hub work by inserting the url and title in the appropriate fields. Links to social media can be added, as well, and they will appear as icons representing their respective channels near the navigation bar on the group page. Adding a group expert to your group helps personalize your page. When you begin to type a name into the expert field, a users name will be suggested in a drop down menu. *Please note: there is a known bug regarding distorted Expert pictures. Hivebrite is working on this fix. Add partners and their logos to the group page to promote collaboration and encourage participation.

Click on the Members tab of the group management pane. Decide whether or not you would like to display a list of group members on your group page by using the slider. You can add members to the group by importing a list of members to the database in Excel (.xlsx) format or add group members by selecting existing Network users or creating profiles on your own. This can be accomplished using the ‘Import Users’ and ‘Add/Remove Users in the upper right corner of the management pane. Users can also be edited or deleted in the pane.

When you invite members to your group, they will receive an invitation email. You can edit this email by clicking on the Settings tab in the group management pane. Click on the blue ‘Edit’ button in the upper right corner of the page to customize the message with a personal greeting and invitation to join your hub and its work.
MANAGING GROUP EVENTS • • • • •
Click on the Events tab of the group management pane to create or manage events. If you do not want to use this feature, simply use the slider in the top left corner of the management pane. You can manage live and unpublished events by clicking on individual group names. Events can also be published, deleted, and edited using the buttons to the far right of the event list. To create an event, click on the ‘Create a New Event’ button in the top right of the management pane.

Events can be fully customized and managed on the Network, or they can simply be added and promoted. *Please note: payment options are not currently active, but will be in the future. Begin by adding a banner/cover photo for your event using the ‘Upload a Photo’ button in the top right corner of the banner image. Add an event name, date, time and event logo. Add the logo by clicking the ‘Upload a Photo’. A full description can be added to the body of the event page, including photos, links and other tools. Provide vent location and venue information. Add an event category to help people in the Network find your event. Provide organizer contact information.
MANAGING GROUP EVENTS CONT’D Within the Events management pane, you can: • • • • •
set a limit to the number of tickets made available manage participants and show or hide the list of participants on your group page promote your page using a unique link and display it on the Network’s global events list create and schedule email campaigns to drive event participation Create custom tabs for your event page, like a Speakers or Venue Information page
SHARING GROUP NEWS • • • •

News can be shared in the Live Feed, but you can also share group-specific news items by clicking on the News tab within the group management pane. Create a post by clicking on the blue ‘Create a Post’ button in the top right corner on the News management page. Add a cover photo that reflects your news or announcement by clicking the ‘Upload Picture’ button in the top right corner of the cover photo. Fill in the title, content category, and body fields, including any appropriate links or images. *Our team can add content categories if you do not find what you’re looking for. Select your hub or theme name from the Related Group(s) field.

GROUP PROJECTS • • • • • • •
To create a project within your group, click on the ‘Venture’ tab in your group management pane. Creating and sharing projects supports members’ ability to get involved with work on-the-ground. You can manage existing projects from the Ventures tab or create a new project by clicking on the blue ‘New’ button in the top right corner of the Ventures tab. Once there, customize your project by clicking on the ‘Upload photo’ buttons on the project cover photo and logo. Designate an existing user as owner of the project by typing into the ‘Owner’ field below the cover photo. Let members know how they can get involved or help your project thrive. Fill in all appropriate fields, including external links to project websites, social media, and more. The picture can't be displayed.
GROUP MEDIA CENTER The group media center provides a place for tools and assets related to local regenerative development work. You can add pictures, videos, documents, and links. Items can be organized into folders or individual files, and all files can be sorted and filtered to support quick and easy access to specific files or folders. • To add a folder or file, use the blue buttons on the upper left side of the management pane. • To edit or delete existing documents or folders, click on the gray ’Edit’ button on the right side of the list. G R O U P C A M PA I G N S Campaigns provide an easy to use way to drive participation and collaboration within your group through targeted emails. • Click on the Campaigns tab within the group management pane. • Existing email campaigns can be edited using ‘Edit’ button on the right side of the page, including options to preview messages and send. • Click the gray ‘New Email Campaign’ button on the upper right side of the management pane to create a new email.

G R O U P C A M PA I G N S Campaigns provide an easy to use way to drive participation and collaboration within your group through targeted emails. • Customize your email from top to bottom by filling in the appropriate fields. The content section is fully customizable, as it can include links, photos, charts, and HTML code. • Edit the recipients you would like to receive your message. You can filter recipients by their cluster, activity, or other keywords. • Before moving on to each step, remember to save your work by clicking on the blue ‘Save & Next’ button in the top right corner of the page.
