NOT ALL FILTERS ARE CREATED EQUAL The quality and structure of a filter’s media (paper) will determine what the oil, air or fuel has to pass through and where the dirt is trapped. The more complex the path particles of dirt have to take, the more likely it’s captured and the greater the overall efficiency of the filter.

Filters with a low quality media will typically become clogged before the service interval is reached, restricting flow and reducing life, and will result in higher engine wear due to unfiltered oil circulating through the engine. Ultimately the engine will work harder with higher fuel consumption and less performance.

SIMPLE STEPS FOR GREAT FILTRATION 1. Always choose a quality based filter that meets the Life, Flow and Efficiency requirements of the vehicle. 2. Always replace a filter in line with the vehicle manufacturer’s service logbook requirements. 3. Ensure all mating components (air box, engine mounting face, seals etc) are cleaned before fitting the new filter. 4. Always lube an oil filter’s seal before installing - never over-tighten it. 5. Regardless of service requirements, a cabin filter should be replaced every 15,000km.
