PRO-13 director, Brig. Gen. Joselito Esquivel Jr. underscored the role of women in nation-building.

“This month is a great time to explore the important contributions women have made, empower them to find their voice and be confident, creative leaders to the Philippine society,” Esquivel said in a statement on Thursday.

Among the activities lined up for this month include the advocacy on health-related issues including the awareness drive on coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), mental health and labor exploitation, reproductive health issues, vaccination, stress management, and beauty care, as well as a lecture on Republic Act 0627 or the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013.

A community outreach program and Women’s summit will also be held on March 9, including an advocacy walk and Zumba. A separate activity will also be held during the culmination of the Women’s Month celebration, Esquivel said.

Esquivel said police units and stations in provinces and municipalities will also conduct their respective activities during the Women’s Month.

The Women’s Month celebration is anchored on the theme “We Make Change Work for Women.” (PNA) BUTUAN CITY - The Police Regional Office in Caraga (PRO-13) will lead a series of activities during the month-long celebration of Women’s Month this year.
