Lt. Col. Warren C. Munda, 75IB commander, spearheaded the donning of ranks to the newly-promoted enlisted personnel in their headquarters at Camp Jaime N. Ferrer Sr. in Barangay Maharlika, Bislig City, Surigao del Sur on Monday.
In a statement on Tuesday, Munda said 58 privates were promoted to Private First Class (PFC) while one PFC was promoted to Sergeant.
“May this ceremony be a reminder of all your hard work and services in the Philippine Army,” he told the personnel during the donning ceremony.
Munda added that the promotion “comes along with new challenges and tasks,” as he asked them to be on “your way in the right direction and always give your best in everything that you do to serve the Filipino people and the country.”
In the same statement, the 75IB described the pinning of ranks ceremony as “a perpetuation of military customs and traditions, recognizing the newly promoted personnel, as well as to boost their morale to efficiently and effectively perform their respective tasks.”
“This entails more responsibility implying a new chapter in their career as to how they will lead their subordinates and follow their seniors and commanders as well,” the statement read. (PNA) By Alexander Lopez
