SSF ON MOBILE MARICULTURE PLATFORM LAUNCHED IN SIARGAO TOWNS
It is a big day for the returning Overseas Filipino Workers and Surigao State College of Technology (SSCT) Del Carmen Management Staff, and members of Dapa Coastal Barangays Farmers and Fisherfolks Association (DACOBAFFIA) when the Shared and Service Facilities (SSF) on Mobile Mariculture Platform was launched recently in the towns of Del Carmen and Dapa, Siargao Island.

The said Shared Facilities on Mobile Mariculture is the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI’s) project to response to the Balik Probinsya Program of the government for returning OFWs, farmers, and fisherfolks as one of the beneficiaries.
The activity aims at informing the public of the presence of the platform as an instrument to improve the productivity of the fisherfolks in the said municipalities.
The event was led by DTI OIC-Regional Director Gay A. Tidalgo, Del Carmen Municipal Mayor Proserfina M. Coro, Dapa Mayor Elizabeth T. Matugas, Dr. Romy Jun A. Sunico, Kapitolyo Nan Siargao Administrator Mr. Lauris E. Congreso representing the offices of Congressman Bingo Matugas, and Governor Francisco “Lalo” Matugas and participated by DACOBAFFIA President Jielson T.
