COPS NAB 2 SUSPECTS IN CARAGA BUY-BUST, SEIZE P28K WORTH OF SHABU
The Caraga police confiscated P28,960.00 worth of methamphetamine or commonly known as “shabu’ and apprehended two dealers during a separate buy-bust operation in the region on June 7, 2021.
Police Regional Office 13 regional director BGen. Romeo M. Caramat, Jr. said the antidrug operation was conducted in Purok 2, Barangay Agao, Butuan City around 11:45 in the evening by Butuan City Police Station 1, City Intelligence Unit-City Drug Enforcement Unit and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) RO13 that led to the arrest of Israel Evanoso, also known as “Eng-Eng,” 23 years old.

Eng-Eng is a drug surrenderee in 2018 and listed as Regional Top Priority Target as a High-Value Individual (HVI).
Authorities confiscated two sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 2.2 grams with a Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of P25,960; drug paraphernalia; and P5,000 bill as marked money.
Also, another buy-bust operation was conducted by Bunawan Municipal Police Station and 1303rd Mobile Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 13 that resulted in the arrest of Anchor Joy V. Sancio, 24, and a resident of Purok P-1, Barangay San Teodoro, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur.
Sancio was arrested for possessing two pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 0.2542g and DDB value of P3,000; buy-bust money of P1,000, and drug paraphernalia.
The arrested persons are now detained at the custodial facility of the arresting unit as cases for violating provisions of the Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Acts of 2002 are being prepared against them and Violation of Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code” (Resistance and disobedience to a person in authority or the agents of such person) for Evanoso.
