Davao Region’s first coronavirus patient discharged By Che Palicte

DAVAO CITY – Davao Region’s first confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) patient has fully recovered and has been discharged from the Davao Regional Medical Center (DRMC) in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.

This was confirmed Monday by Dr. Annabelle Yumang, director of the Department of Health in Davao Region (DOH-11), during a virtual presser where the health official also appealed to the public not to stigmatize recovered Covid-19 patients. Yumang said PH130 was already sent home to her family in Davao de Oro. The patient, a 21-year old female, from Pantukan town, arrived in the Philippines from the United Kingdom with layover via Doha, Qatar to Manila then to Davao on February 29.
