The training covered various lectures on Animal Husbandry, visual demonstrations of recent breeding practices, and financial requirements for start-up swine fattening business.

“While serving jail time, this kind of training is very useful for them. We can help them change and become productive individuals,” said Vincent Jomini Orcullo, OIC Jail Inspector.

The knowledge and skills that the beneficiaries learned from the training will help the trainees during employment application or starting their own business after releasing from confinement.

The Province of Surigao del Sur under the leadership of Governor Alexander T. Pimentel is very active and supportive in supervising the reform training and workshops. One top priority is providing PDLs with transferable agricultural livelihood skills which are vital in the reformation process. (OPAg/PIA-Surigao del Sur)
