EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The production unit in process of Orderly Settlement is due to a need of the increase of the production capacity for this product, reason whereby the sale of this machinery is conditioned to his installation out of Mexico and will have to be signed an Agreement that specifies that the production can´t be confined to the Mexican market. This unit of production is composed of four lines of manufacture of baby diapers for the production of 4 different measures of diapers and 2 units of packaging. The capacity of this line is near to 3 million diapers by day. The machinery is in conditions of operation and a technical visit can be realized to inspect them. The lines of production have important technological updates in the different phases of the process but the structure of schemes is oldest. They operate with high technology and a high degree of efficiency and productivity. (1)Velocity Absorption: This is an indicator of the functionality that has a diaper facing the discharge of urine. Diaper must respond quickly to ensure that leaks do not arise. (2) Ability to maintain dry the surface of the diaper. This is a critical parameter in comfort. The less is the quantity of urine which regresses to the outer cover diaper the more baby feels dry. For the evaluation it was determined the percentage of synthetic urine fell to the surface of the diaper, simulating the use in which the baby has urinated twice. (3) Absorbency. This parameter refers to the amount of urine that diaper can absorb without leakage. Evidence has been achieved by applying synthetic urine on the diaper positioning that simulates the real use. For the evaluation, it was determined that the number of discharges each diaper supported in accordance with its type. (4) Resistance of materials. The resistance was measured in tension (pool generated at the time the layer is adjusted to baby, when the revision is made in the level of cleanliness of the diaper, etc.) of the adhesive tape and the body diaper in humid and dry ambient; it was estimated the force required to break the film or tape. (5) Adhesiveness. The bond strength was measured to determine how many times the tape diaper stick. Three types of bands were evaluated: readheribles, contact and adjustable (elastic). GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROCESS The absorbent fluff is made by the combination of cellulose fiber mixed with super absorbent material. • The fluff runs continuously and it is wrapped by a sheet of tissue material forming a pad. • The pad is embossed. • The pad is cut in individual sections. • The outer cover web with nonwoven frontal patch & leg elastic on, received the pads. • The inner cover web covers the pads. • The tapes are formed with mechanical fastener and they are attached to web the covers. • The high pressure system cuts the product with water knife to get the anatomical shape. • The leg barriers are attached to the inner web cover. • The sides of the diaper are folded.

• The blade folder cuts and folds the final product. • The product is inserted into bags. • Packaging capability to make:14´s; 38´s; 40´s; 44´s. The technical specifications of the line (main characteristics and stations) to produce the product mentioned are: Fans and ducts Dust fans and ducts that shall blow and deliver the dust to a rotary drum filter that recovers all process dust in the machine.

SUPER ABSORBENT MATERIAL STAND AND APPLICATOR K-TRON SYSTÈME This equipment is used to transport and apply a certain amount of super absorbent material into the fluff. It consists in a steel structure; hopper and an applicator system. The Automatic K-tron applicator system has the capacity to deliver 2.7kg/h of material.

PULP UNWIND STAND STAND This equipment is used to unwind and transport a pulp sheet into a fluff hammer mill. It is made of steel frames with pneumatic cylinders, with accessories and manual control operation. It is capable to handle two 60” diameter rolls.

CORE WRAP TISSUE UNWIND This unwind will supply the fluff pad wrap-sheet material to the vacuum conveyor below the forming chamber. This section is a new Martin Automatic Unwind for core wrap tissue material. Including pull roll, festoon and zero speed splicer with a splicing capability of 1600 fpm.

HAMMERMILL SECTION The pulp sheet from the pulp unwind feed tray is fed into a hammer mill where the sheet is defibrated and mixed with super absorbent material and gravity fed to a rectangular forming chamber. Hammer mill unit has a rotor motorized by an A.C. motor with inverter (frequency changer).This section has a bronze screen and a scarfing roll.

Fluff / super absorbent material mixtures are pulled onto the surface of a conveyor, the product shall be made of one continuous pad and it has to be chamber formed. Fans, ducting, sound house, etc. are part of the supply.

Tissue folding is accomplished by a combination of vacuum conveyors and a set of vacuum folders whose purpose is to wrap the tissue material around the forming pad and transfer the continuous material sausage to the embossing roll.

This module embosses the continuous material sausage and applies certain amount of perfume. Embossing roll is servo motorized; this module is guarded around and with safety switches.

This conveyor transfers the continuous material sausage to the pad cut off unit.

FLUFF PAD CUT-OFF SECTION This module cuts the continuous fluff sausage web into individual pad pieces and delivers it onto a spacing conveyor to match diaper speed.

The outer cover unwind is an offline module and moves material into the machine, in the web run is placed the nonwoven front patch, before the main machine process. Outer cover also receives leg elastics. This is a Martin Automatic unwinds. N: CHW1316-5997-4.

The nonwoven front patch unwind is a manual offline 90° module that moves the nonwoven front patch loop material to be placed into the diaper outer cover.

WATER CHILLER UNIT

The nonwoven front patch applicator cuts the loop material into discrete sections and applies them to the outer cover web.

This unit provides cold water to nonwoven front patch combining roll and to 45° bars. The function is to melt adhesive in order to achieve correct properties to the process.

The inner cover unwind is an offline module. This module provides the inner cover web of the diaper. Martin Automatic S.N. CHW-1316-6085-1, reliance electric equipment.

The purpose is to combine the fluff pad with the outer cover/loop/leg elastic web and inner cover web.

The seller design Planetary Unwind. The mechanical fastener unwind is used to supply a hook based fastener to Tape Construction Section for tape engagement.

The tape deck section is used to supply base tape fasteners. This module receives mechanical fastener and prepare the material to be placed onto the diaper.

The tape applicator section of the machine consists of one inline module that cuts and places the tape into the diaper chassis. Guards for pinch points are included.

By a high pressure water system and a servo motor movement, this module cut out the anatomical leg section of the diaper. High pressure is obtained by a flow system 9x Water Nife 2,500 psi oil and a water pressure up to 50,000 psi.

VISION SYSTEM

Product Inspection is used to look for defects in the product related to ear attachment, cut, patch and pad application. The information is sent to the registration system to remove the defective products. The equipment consists in monitors, cameras, lamp, software and hardware to inspect diaper elements, by Cognex.

LEG BARRIERS UNWIND SECTION AND LEG BARRIERS ELASTIC UNWIND The leg barriers unwind is an offline module that unrolls leg barrier material sending it to the barriers applicator before going to the main machine process. The containment barrier applicator forms the leg barrier material into an operator and drive side barrier component with integral lycra strands that is applied to the inner web to function as the fluid dam for the product. Material runs from unwind to forming section and to the machine.

This module applies the leg barriers material operation and drive side to the inner cover web to function as the fluid dam for the product. It will be part of the supply.

The ear folder equipment function is to take the diaper ears and fold them into the chassis of the product allowing the product to be folded into a rectangular shape. This module has two folding sections to fold the two side parts from the diaper before it gets cut.

BLADE FOLDER SECTION

STACKER AND BAGGER

The final cutoff equipment cuts the web into discrete products prior to folding them in half of length for packaging. This section makes the final cut and fold of the diaper. If you need to take one diaper to inspect you could take it from this section also the mechanism of it rejects diapers in case of the diaper went out of specifications.

The stacker equipment combines single products into stacks as specified in package count to be bagged/packaged. This section receives pile and pack diaper into bags. It has the capability to pack 14´s, 40´s, 38´s and 44´s.
