Seen, the zine.
Edition: tension -- feeling seen or feeling safe.
This zine is 7 transgender and nonbinary people in conversation discussing how we navigate the tension between wanting to be seen as transgender yet wanting to be safe in a transphobic society. The photography is captured through "Facetime photography" with the prompt "I feel seen".
Seen, the zine is created as the completion of the media creative project component of the Honours postgraduate research at the University of Cape Town.
