3-B: WORKFORCE STRATEGIES FOR ENGAGING YOUTH INTO THE LTC PROFESSION

Workforce is a challenge that exists in all our locations. We cannot keep doing the same things and expecting different results. So, how can we, as providers, get youth excited about LTC career pathways? What tactical strategies can be used today? What we, as employers, can do is to support youth programs like: HOSA, scrubs camp, high school training programs, CTE, mentoring, tours, etc. Connections with youth is one of our largest areas of opportunity for workforce development, and it appears that this will be the case for the foreseeable future. How can we seize this opportunity? This panel will discuss these topics and more.
