Office Space Planning Location: Edgeworth Building, 3rd floor District: Manchester City: Richmond, VA Square Footage: 10,273 Objective: Space planning for a environmental materials firm supporting the following departments of the business: executive, administrative, accounting administrative, and creative services.

Natural lighting case study
Natural Lighting Study Location: Pawley’s Island City: near Charleston, SC Objective: The use of longitudinal and latitudinal configuration to build the structure to provide natural light to the space. The group project consists of passive solar design, extended roof to shade the windows, and a sustainable roof design.

Pollak Building Cafe Location: VCU Pollak Building City: Richmond, VA Objective: The cafe was constructed in between existing pillars of the lower floor of the Pollak building without obstructing the circulation of students. The design sharade started with a restaurant booth and the development of the surrounding space.

Birthing + Hospice Island
Conceptual Continuity Location: Chincoteague Island City: near Hampton, VA Objective: Use the land to create a peaceful place for a patient to conceive a new life or in exile. The project started with a conceptual lighting skin and developed into the skin of living quarters for short term to long term. There is flexibilty with this design to attach a nurses pod and or family apartment to the patient retreat.

Community Fitness + Nutritional Center
Senior Thesis Location: Plant Zero Building District: Manchester City: Richmond, VA Square Footage: 23,000 Objective: The first semester research was conducted to bring a community together or to better market a business. LEED information was provided as guidelines for the design strategy. The design strategy and illustration was developed the second semester.

These drawings are a part of my life leading up to design school and I believe those have helped to develop my design style. I like discovering shapes in organic forms and translating those into inspiration for design. There are architectural sketches drawn while I was living in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Finish Construction Internship Location: 15 residential homes Organization: Episcopal Diocese of LA [EDOLA] City: New Orleans, LA Objective: I was an intern for two months to learn how to install porcelain tiles and laminate floor and coached weekly volunteers. We worked eight or nine hours on a weekely basis Monday through Friday as a crew cheif. In my free time, I completed an independent study on the native architecture and stages of interior reconstruction in the house we worked.
